Migrating away from Afrihost - need recommendations

Dude you know what warnings signs are for me?

A website that would look good for 1995
a setup fee for something that costs nothing to set up
talking about buying cap for uncapped products
contracts with bandwidth (Even capped that is bs)

Now I am not saying they are bad (hell people are happy with openweb) but there are times that you have to question things. I will probably never go to them unless they offer a trail to test them or a free 1gb account to test.

I had a read through the Vox thread and I am not that impressed. Seems like they have regular issues.

Also moving completely away from Afrihost, as a isp crystal web seems very promising aswell as web africa, hosting Im bordering on elitehost atm.

I'd recommend WebAfrica Business Capped. I also tried Crystalweb, but I get some issues that nobody else seems to get and with WebAfrica I don't. Not just that, I get really solid speed in the middle of the day, which I really need, but of course at all other times too. Now and then there may be a glitch in a voice call, a temporary dip in speed and such, but that is inevitable on any ADSL ISP.

The only reason I used to switch my connection away from WebAfrica was to try other cheaper ISPs. The reason I switch back is because it works better. So for the first time ever, I have set my forum signature...

+1 for Web Africa. We moved away from Afrihost 3 months ago and got a capped account with WA. Not 1 single issue & getting close to full line speed at any given time.

Is there any way to systematically run speed tests automatically without doing them manually? I'd be interested to do this for a trial.

Afirhost bandwidth is dog poop at the moment. Ive never experienced such terrible speeds. When I used to be able to stream video I am no longer able to. I would recommend Vox far pipes for quality bandwidth.

That is an insult to dog poop. At least dog poop can be used for fertilizer.
