mtn active down ?

I reported this internally amongst our guys, thought the build rollout would fix this up, not yet?
It wasn't working this morning, but it looks like they installed a new certificate this afternoon.

Funny thing is - the MTN Active team phoned me this afternoon because I was bitching that the stats are out of date, and I never know how much I have left on my bundle (also on 16202) - when they phoned - they couldn't get in either to check - kept crashing while they were on the phone. :p

Thats a bit harsh:(

Not going to debate it, but when I have to phone 6/7 times, and each time I'm promised someone will phone me back, and they never do, and I'm not allowed to speak to anyone besides an 808 call center agent, thats just not on, and not service.

They even go (Irene I think it was) as far as to say they are not liars, and give me their word they will phone back within two hours - and then don't - thats not a company I want to deal with.

MTN know how much they're going to deduct from my bill on the 20th, but can't provide me with a simple statement, and itemized bill (which I'm charged for).

fess up, you and sPitbull broke it it, didnt you? :D

Mebbe:p

You sound deeply upset, wanna talk to someone, talk to me.

This is what I get: (using Firefox on Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit)

HTTP/1.1 404
Connection: close
Date: Tue, 17 Mar 2009 18:33:21 GMT
Server: Microsoft-IIS/6.0
X-Powered-By: ASP.NET

Funny thing is, the SOB has a point.
MTN problems has a habit of going away after a good cry about it on snakespit's shoulder :D

(now... I'm not getting my invoice either. Fix it or I tell them about your pink g-string)

I'm getting the following (Windows XP / Firefox 3.0.7):
Our systems encountered an unexpected technical problem.

Please retry, if the problem persists then please try again later. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and will try to rectify the situation as soon as possible.
Their SSL certificate is at least valid though. :p

All I really require is honesty - if they have a problem, they should at least be honest about it - not give you the run around for two weeks, saying they've sent the required documents each time, and then eventually tell you they can't actually send it because they have 'email' AND 'fax' problems.

If they can't send invoices and statements, then they also shouldn't debit your account until they can - fairs fair after-all.

Maybe if MTN stop messing about with Musica and stupid BEE deals, they would actually deliver a service...nevermind their useless website , their network has become pretty crappy where i'm at. I don't even manage to use up my 2GB bundle anymore, at least no more shocker out of bundle bills.

The part where MTNActive is the slowest, most cumbersome website to view your data usage ever still applies, nevermind the fact that you can't -manage- diddly squat on there either.

MTN Active working again now, they must have had a bad day yesterday.

MTN Active was down
808 was down from 19:00 to 07:00 this morning (although they did have a message to this effect)
I couldn't check balances on *16202
MTN webcams were down last night during the fire and are still down

MTN Active seems to be inactive again, after entering my password I just get the following:
MTN Active

System error

For more information dial 1761 from your MTN mobile phone.

It is advisable to quit the browser completely to prevent any of the displayed pages to be retrieved.

mtn seems to be losing alot of faithful customers of late ... i've been with them for the past 6 years now and i'm seriourly considering porting to vodacom ...

I am porting to VC, and I'm counting the days, on the first day I can give notice I'm doing so... I don't want to be with them one day longer than I have to be.

I can get in to MTN Active now, but I can't actually *do* anything; I can't switch between my numbers and I can't seem to find the page to add or remove services.

MTN are so shocking - they actually lie on hellopeter, saying they've been trying to contact me continuously and I'm not answering - I haven't had a single unknown missed call, or voice mail. So either their network is screwed and I'm not getting calls I'm supposed to be getting, and paying to be getting - or they're lying, both a strong possibility.

Every time I called 1761 yesterday I would get cut off. I managed to get through this morning and was told the 'primary number' on my account had been deleted from the system, they put it back and it's working again.

Out of interest, are you planning on staying with MTN when your contract is up?
