MTN Black Friday Discussions

I'm slightly hopeful they match the deal just because they'll be losing a TON of customers otherwise but yeah wishful thinking.
 
The 50Gb promo was available to loyal customers about 2 months before the Black Friday deal. The 50gb, 10000 free minutes fell away end of last month on my first contract. Still have 1 Black Friday 50Gb deal at least.

It truly sucks not having all that data anymore.
 
No, haven't even thought about that. Doubt they'll allow that.

My brother had one of those pre Black Friday deals, he did not upgrade and let it finish, a week or so after it expired, he received an sms to say that Mtn had allocated him 20 gigs of data for free

Please ask him to confirm with MTN if it's a once off thing or if it will continue each month getting 20gb?

Also ask if it being a pre black Friday deal may mean it's different to the BF contracts.

Note that GPS did not mention the contract discount being removed on his 25th month - maybe the discount applies to the contract type and were not part of the black Friday promo?
 
OK, I haven't received my bill for after the 50GB fell away and MTNActive Unbilled invoice option doesn't show discounts, so will have to wait till I receive the invoice for the month.
 
I would like to know if you don't cancel the deal but it expires after the 24 month how much data do you get and what is the monthly cost the 25th month?

The promotional data falls away. You get the standard package data, not sure which package you chose.

I chose the SIM only deal for R150 so not sure what deal I am on. My balance says I have 400 anytime minutes, 10 000 MTN to MTN minutes and 400 SMSs. I get 50GB+1GB a month

You'll lose the 50gb and 10000 mtn minutes. I think you'll keep getting 200 anytime minutes and 500mb pm.
