MTN Black Friday Discussions

On the MTN Data contracts should the "promo" data portion roll over for 60 days like the base data?

No. Promo is only valid for 30 days.
Is that across the board with MTN contracts?
With my previous MTN contract I’m pretty sure the promo data rolled over for 60 days, maybe it’s a recent thing.

Is there any contract I can take now that I can "cancel" BlackFriday and get a better retention deal?

It's time for mine....I have checked the yellow trader and such, no emails either, there is absolutely fck all I want or matches my current 300gig data.

Seems I will have to wait a bit and let them nag me to upgrade and escalate to ret to see, if they can't offer the same I had currently it is bye bye in november....

just wondering if anyone has compare mtn pi deals to the current BF deals we had
They are rubbish if you are just looking for data, it's expensive and the support is MTN level which is already useless but minus another 50%
The only bonus is how easy it is to cancel the contracts and them being month to month.

If you want to try them out they have a promo currently 20GB for R1/pm for the first 3 months if you sign up before the end of September, the actual data speeds are fine.

Speed is good in the cities (yeah runs on MTN network obviously), but found Vodacom has beter coverage in the north of Limpopo and Kruger National Park. Get it to test it and as mentioned true "month-to-month". App seems easy to use.

Strangely the APN should be Pi (or internet or myMTN)..
