MTN Data Woes all over again

From 19h30 this evening there has been some kind of a connection error.
why does this keep happening to mtn?

Is it that they just dont' have enough data bandwidth? or perhaps because the directors are driving really fancy cars, yet don't have a clue what's going on with their networks??

I remember the days when MTN used to be the "Better Connection".... good thing they changed that little slogan
 
thank "G" I'm not insane...I thought there was something wrong with my mobile...I even did a HARD re-set just to find out the connection error is STILL there...started yesterday afternoon already :mad:

This afternoon was quite bad. Couldn't connect with my mobile although there was a signal.
 
I just SO SO SO wish they can send a message out via SMS to all their clients who pay them a FORTUNE telling them that they're experiencing some form of a problem/planned maintenance...

I mean seriously - is that too much to ask?

All of us 1st check our own hardware before we start doubting the "mighty mtn". Lots of frustration!!!

Demand & No supply

The problem is that there is too much demand and no supply guys.

MTN is having major problems with their Data network at the moment they were busy negotiating with Bharthi Airtel and forgot about sorting their problems out. Their is a wireless data boom in this Country at the moment and No Operator wants to say so. Neotel too will start releasing false figures as well very soon just to say that not many people are on their network. South Africans are taking to the internet like a duck to water. Hope ICASA and the DOC dont wait for 20 million Data users to be spread between Vodacom , MTN and Telkom and Neotel and then realise theres to few operators in the market.

We need 10 wireless broadband operators.

We need 6 mobile operators.

We need 3 fixed line for home use operators.

We need the Competition Now.

When will it happen !

We did experience some issues on the network, but they were all resolved last night. Everyone should be able to conect fine now with much more stability.
