Well....to all who replied on my threads....thanks for all the help and input.
Can't be any happier than I'm now with these speeds....
Ohh no did you put your Fixed LTE sim in your phone? It's going to get suspended... Or is that Airmobile?
Nopes speedtest was done from device wifi....got a B618 and got 150+150 sim only from Afrihost.
How? Never knew about that, although not sure if it'll affect my pings playing World of Warships...I get about 200ms+ currently and a lousy 17fps even on lowest gfx setting, which sees me dead in no time usually..
With Afrihost you get an Airmobile IP on the WAN port. That means you can forward ports for gaming if you want.

I'm in the process of switching from Supersonic fixed MTN to Afrihost fixed MTN. I was getting about 90mbps using my Supersonic sim. I'm assuming/hoping that I will use the same base station when using the Afrihost sim, so I should see similar speeds?
If you run the speed test enough times in succession you might get to see the elusive 100Mbps!The router as it stands is currently on "Auto".
Any tips to perhaps get past the magical 100mb+ mark?
Can you perhaps run a speedtest to London on each one for comparison?Cancelling my Supersonic MTN tomorrow. Received my Afrihost sim today.

Thank you.Very interesting results! Now I'm even happier that I've decided to switch! (Slightly lower ping doesn't bother me that much...)

If you login to your router under system status you should see the Afrihost Airmobile ip on the WAN ip. That means you can use the DMZ or Virtual Server setting in the router under security I think it is to forward ports.
No unrestricted APN needed when using Afrihost Fixed LTE on MTN.![]()
Apparently MTN does not allow port forwarding!!
Damn! Trying to access a device behind my B618 router.
Also,it never lets me add an IP address to setup a virtual server, keeps giving me "ip address is empty or invalid, please reenter" whatever I try.
MTN direct yes but on Supersonic you get a public IP on the WAN port.
I'm on Afrihost. Is that why I cant even seem to add a IP address on the virtual server page of my B618?!
@AfriNatic Can you confirm above ?
