I don't believe this. They completely forgot to mention MTN's pathetic, crappy, almost non-existant customer service and support, accounts/billing and porting departments, and their call-center which sounds worse then a fish market during peak trade.
This is the REAL reason why MTN has lost so many subscribers.
Ported from MTN to Vodacom two days ago thanks to their s***** billing systems and overwhelmed customer services department. I can forgive teething problems as they transition from one billing system to the next, but the disaster that's been dragging on for over a year is unforgivable.

Never forget that "Vodacom is a strong competitor," he adds.
Sorry to inform you, but MTN's decline isn't due to poor customer service, wacked billing or disgusting tv-adds,
the only reason is RICA.
Oh really?? That's what they want you to believe. Sure RICA has had an effect on subscriber GROWTH. GROWTH has slowed down. But an 11% DECLINE. That is completely different. All the other operators still achieved POSITIVE subscriber growth, although it was not as good as previous years. MTN is the only company achieving NEGATIVE growth, also more commonly known as dying in biological terms.
I think Chrissy is being sarcastic, i could be wrong though....
Erm company is not dying by any means.
Spending R50 million on Manchester United will aide their decline though.
