MTN told me and and M???? friend has 2 uncapped mtn one mini router and a usb modem

Either you misunderstood or the idiot working at MTN lied / didn't "convey" the information correctly.

The first 3GB you download has very good speeds, between 1000 Kbps and 3000 Kbps (125 KB/s, 375 KB/s) and even up to 4000 Kbps to 6000 Kbps (500 KB/s, 750 KB/s) on good days.

However, after that you get throttled (which means MTN reduces your download speed, and quite considerably I might add). You are then looking at download speeds of between 80 Kbps to 250 Kbps (10 KB/s, 32 KB/s).

Seriously :wtf:...maybe he pulled an April's fool joke on you guys. Call the rep back and ask him again about the capped speeds. They will probably do anything for a sale these days...jeez.

Anyway mweb just called me, MTN remove there uncapped products from mweb for now or mtn has non available sucks

Huawei firmware updated to Next G

Hi JayBass,

I also murdered my router with an update from Huawei's site. I have NO idea how to fix it though. I've downloaded ALL the firmware packages from one of MTN's pages, and tried them all, to no avail. There doesn't seem to be a B660 firmware update anywhere.

How did you fix your issue?

I did not bother to update mine as it works and if something works for me i dont bother with it
