Let me pay for only the channels I want, so that the monthly sub can be cheaper please. Anyone in agreement?

*erm*

Not really a new thing. I've been part of DSTV's e-mail panel for over a year now. In fact, I've had access to a few new trial channels as a result of my participation in this panel.

Yeah , article is incorrect. This is not new...been around for ages. They just stopped doing it for about 6 months and then started again.

Old or new. Seems good to let the consumer give input on what they want not just get handed 4 channels of crap and are forced to pay for a license that is worth mostly nothing.

I was invited to be part of the email panel so I'm gonna make sure the right things get heard!

Any specific points you would like me to mention?

+1 How about even being able to subscribe/unsubscribe to channels via an online MyAccount type of facility?

Subscribe/unsubscribe to channels via an online MyAccount type of facility? How about a pay as you go type of facility? Top up and only subscribe to what you want for an evening. Video on demand via a web interface??

I filled in my survey today.. under the one and only place to comment, I said I want to be able to pick and choose the channels I actually watch.

Bad idea.

All that needs to change is this. We must be able to choose which channels we want and only pay for those channels. I wish I was part of this panel.

Yeah Yeah yeah .... the panel was running before now this statement !!. They never listened before what makes anyone think they will listen now. Just shuddup and pay what we say for what ever WE decide to give you.

Just another Corporate ripping our asses out as usual:mad:

i only watch a total of about 10 channels, but the only way to get all of them together is to subscribe to the full package. Absosultely ridiculous, i just can't bring myself to pay for it as it FEELS like a total rip-off

It is good, pity Monochoice don't actually listen. I have been free of them for the past year and have over 6k as a holiday bonus instead. Worth far more to me.

I've always maintained that they should offer a service where each channel has a value attached to it, you select the channels that you want, add the values and you know what your personalised bouquet will cost you each month. If you want to change it, go to your online account and select/de-select the ones you want to add/remove.

Personalised bouquets FTW!!!!

There has been countless strikes recently. I wish they could strike at the MC's Office and trash the place to let us pay per channel at a reasonable price.

Cosatu, where are you when we need you?
Well, I guess Cosatu members can't afford a tv license to start with.
