Mweb Local Uncapped Trial

If they cap at 10Gig.. I'm cancelling. It needs to be at least 20-30Gig like IS.

Anyone been billed yet?

Still no mail or any kind of correspondence this side.

Telscum LOL

Thnx,all you ppl.Read through all the post and will be switching 2 mweb soon as possible when I get back from holliday,have a nice Xmas & New year y all!
P.S.thnx Garyvdh for your input also!:)

holy christ,,what a runaround to signup for their R145 option,,why not just have a credit card online purchase system
get your online purchase system going mweb and you'll have a lot more customers

actually you can use credit card, just pick up the phone and give them a call. no documents are required

Is local still unlimited?

Mweb has taken to telling people over the phone that it is 10 Gigs... but yes... it is still unlimited... if by unlimited you mean like 160 Gigs or so. :cool: They have not issued any e-mails informing us otherwise... and that was how they promised to inform us.

Can you use them on a month to month basis?

no, you can only use them in odd numbered months according to the Julian Calendar when the Moon is in the Crux constellation. :rolleyes:

but to answer your question... they require one full months notice of cancellation.

Its actually strange. I though after a year that obviously they have to know what they wanted to know. So I wonder if its still a trial? Hmmm Maybe its now permanent. that would be nice. Something I don't understand. Mweb (much smaller than telkom) gives away unlimited local only. Now tell me why Telkom can't do that. They had a stupid 2 months unlimited local. Why can't they also make it unlimited. I mean it kinda their backbone SAIX

On their website under the pricing page it is still called a "Trial". My guess is they are waiting until Seacom goes live to see which way to go.

See answer below:

Telkom = greedy pigs

MWEB = here to help

Just be sure to set up your account properly to access uncapped local. See earlier in this thread on what to do.

I think I should cancel my 2x 30gig IS local accounts with WA and get me a mweb account, cause my 60gigs are finished and I still have a lot to do.

1) Do I just need to get a normal 1gig account with Mweb for this to work?
2) Anyone know the notice period for canceling the WA accounts?

1) Yes.. but make sure you set up the account correctly as per the above post so that there are no carry-over bundles.
2) No, not sure. I think it is a half-month.
