Hi everyone, i have look into this and I am not aware of any changes made to or issues with our shaper.

We are gathering all the feedback from our customers and we are looking into it.

Why would technical support state otherwise?

Why is this thread suddenly a hive of activity, after months/years of calm?

That is a good question, I will have check on that tomorrow.

As for all the queries on here, we are looking into it.

Mwebguy, any comment on this issue?

I think it may be limited to iafrica emails? Your support centre has no clue what Im even talking about (Ehh we are constantly working on clearing up spam.. yada yada.) not understanding that the emails coming through have already been flagged as spam by mwebs mailserver, but are not being prevented from being downloaded to the mail clients.

The email header is coming through with: X-Spam-Flag: Yes. This tells me you know its spam, but not filtering it out?

Please assist.

07h05, outside the shaping window I believe? Even spiked up to 4Mbps. Will test later in the day. Who can test legit HTTP downloads?

It shouldn't take too long. Shaping is done in-house by MWEB, not by Optinet, not by IS/DD, and not by Seacom.

Maybe you should forward whatever you have to Mweb Guy if it was in writing. If it wasn't in writing, then well... this could take forever to try and confirm for the rest of us.

I was so happy with the trial account at the end of last month but since the second week of this month on Torrents at least the performance has dropped drastically. I know torrents are on low priority but as it sits I can't even get 1 kb/s before 22:00 (possibly even later, didn't monitor that late at night) on a 4mb premium uncapped account.

Youtube is still on and off. One moment I can watch 720p without buffering and the next I have to buffer every 3 seconds.

It would be great if you guys could confirm what is going on, as the last message I sent to you guys said that there was nothing wrong with my account and looking at others messages, it has to be a much larger problem than 1 or 2 people's accounts.

I'm getting packet loss on optinet's network. Usually at te0-0-0-1.cpt-p-1.optinet.net and vl12.cpt-hscore-2.optinet.net

I just need to see if anyone else is getting it before I complain about my line. I know that MWeb business is currently struggling with other bigger problems. :whistling:

Internet is a bit slow today. speedtest seems fine but browsing is painfully slow

When has zippyshare been blocked?? I upload my pics there and download them at work...as Dropbox is blocked at work
