MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

MwebGuy where can i find the business products?

Also, would I get throttled if I changed to a 1mb business account with the same usage?

Could you pm me the pricing for 1mb uncapped unthrottled? Im unsure on how the business packages are put together.

Mweb Guy, firstly I would think its illegal to sell a product with a fair usage policy and not publish that policy/guideline.

Secondly, where can I check my usage? I have a @dslmweb.co.za username and it does not work on your website... if you tell me i have to register with my email address and then call a call center to register I might just follow the rest of the guys this morning and move to another provide...

All the guys leaving Mweb this morning, where are you off to? Afrihost? I won't go to OpenWeb, their owner's attitude and service is worse than Mweb.

Mweb Guy, on a slightly different note, I must say thank you for all your support on these forums, you have been quite excellent with feedback and responses. I know it might come across as people raging at you, but its really the corporate you work for. PM details of who I can send a thank you message to for all your great service?

Hi phiber

We do have our AUP on our website: http://www.mweb.co.za/legalpolicies/GeneralPage/AcceptableUsePolicy.aspx

In order to check your usage on our MWEB page you need to sign in with your primary MWEB email address.

After this morning I'm considering Afrihost. I can't even open up Gmail so hopefully they will be better, keeping my
fingers crossed. MWEBGuy and his/her help on this forum is the only positive Mweb has going for them.

I can not give you specific thresholds

Hi MWeb Guy,

does it make a difference to your throttling if one does more Gb's over the weekends, and has moderate usage during the week?
I.e. over the weekends there is more streaming done here, therefore the usage will double or triple....

Ho Tom242

The calculation is done over a 30 day rolling window and is updated on a daily basis.

Every 30 days they decide if you're downloading too much and then they throttle you.

Actually if its a 'true' rolling window then everyday there is a calc done(sum of last 30 days) which throttles and unthrottles the account.. but this being SA its likely a check everyday and throttle with an unthrottle happening 30 days later.

Every 30 days they decide if you're downloading too much and then they throttle you.

Rolling windows. They throttle you based on your usage over the previous 30 days, calculated on that specific day.

So if I did 20 gb per day for the last 30 days, and the threshold is 601 gb per 30 days, I will be throttled if I do 21 gb today.

There is no given thresholds as mweb has not given them to be a ble to change it as they see fit.

Maar nou ja as jy 'n skelm is, vir 'n skelm werk dan is jy maar 'n skelm...

Well a few posts back Mwebguy stated the throttling goes on for 3-4 days

Bull****, you and your company just want to continue with your criminal practices. If you really couldn't then why for example could neotel?

http://www.moneyweb.co.za/moneyweb-technology-news/neotel-uncapped-lte-launched

134GB at 1Mbps (throttled to 512kbps thereafter)
268GB at 2Mbps (throttled to 1Mbps thereafter)
671GB at 5Mbps (throttled to 2.5Mbps thereafter)
1,324GB at 10Mbps (throttled to 5Mbps thereafter)

an indication like that would help everyone!!! that would be educating the users, instead of punishing for an unknown amount....
