MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Gotta love this MWEB guy - whoever he or she or it is..... The MWEB mouth piece cant give you an answer on anything except to say you will be throttled .... which I just have been ...... Their Facebook page is a disaster with all the complaints, and now they are simply just sending cancellation forms ?? forms?? and I suspect MWEB needs the bandwidth for their new MNET decks. The kicker is that we have been called twice nogal this past two weeks, by MWEB and asked if we want to upgrade, ergo pay, more for the same sh^^ty service????
E-mailed my cancellation an hour ago .... feedback ...... DONT DO IT ...MWEB SUX.
 
Very happy with my OpenWeb account, am on the SAINET backbone and running full speed. Up yours MWeb.
 
so how do we know how long we are getting throttled? we each have to individually ask mweb guy? if so, mweb guy... please tell me how long i'm going to have to wait untill I have broadband again?
 
The really funny thing is that I've been paying R100 more to Mweb for a bundled account (2Mb Uncapped) as compared to any other ISP with line management. I did this because "We do not throttle like other ISPs".
Cancelled yesterday after being told 140Gb was excessive in 15 days, "but we can't tell you what reasonable usage should be, we just think you're using too much".
So, now I get an extra R100 for Beer every month. Thanks MWeb!

Not sure if it`s as a result of the throttling , but my MWEB account`s been flying since the weekend. Previously my Telkom account out-performed the MWEB account consistantly. Not anymore though , MWEB now killing the Telkom account. Maybe I`m the only one left on the network ? :D I`ve done 137 Gigs on my 4Mbps line since the 1st , MWEB Guy am I in trouble ?

I never go 110+ so I should be ok ;) .... My biggest gripe is Game servers... Tired of playing on Capetown servers with guys that have half my ping :(

I had a look into your account & could not find any issues. What is your tests results like you've done and have you brought it to the attention of our Gaming admins on our dedicated Gaming site/forum?
 
first post here, day 3 into my trottle , cant watch youtube , least can still play dota 2, owned some guys with sb lastnite.

any idea how long this will last? need to watch youtube. also thinking of jumping ship, being trottled to 128kbps from one meg dumb in my opinion, so far for the month done 60 gigs, are they gna let us know or warn us when we are close to being trottled? if not im not gona take this.

I used someones 1Mb/s uncapped about 2hrs ago and boy is it slow and they're not even throttled :D

The fact that only you can see that thumbsuck is the the biggest cause for concern of current and any possible future customers.

But my download speed was consistently stuck at 100-120kbps last night?

Also, my line has been having ADSL Disconnect issues (1-2 times an hour, last for about 5-30sec each time). This has been happening since the start of this month. No problems on the analogue phone line.

Telkom technician did mention something to this effect, when they changed my line over from the GDMT to the ADSL2+ card at my exchange. He said most customers didn't notice the issues, but others do. Could you please assist in getting the DSL disconnect issue investigated?

Max possible data rate on GDMT: 12Mbps
Max possible data rate on ADSL2+: 22Mbps
