MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Hi everybody

The is an outage affecting people in Durban and those in the surrounding areas.

Telkom are investigating.

My internet is absolutely useless... I am downloading at 3.5kbps. It took me 10 minutes to open this page???
Please help!!!!
 
Slow here in JHB too lag is a Fsckup I cannot even complete one game without been owned to shiite. Thanks for nothing Mweb!

You naughty abuser, you. You should be grateful to your Mweb masters that they don't completely kill your internet connection for the month for abusing their network.

Kindly provide us these limits. You keep on saying keep withing the limits, but you forget to give us the limits.

If you need an example this might help:

134GB at 1Mbps (throttled to 512kbps thereafter)
268GB at 2Mbps (throttled to 1Mbps thereafter)
671GB at 5Mbps (throttled to 2.5Mbps thereafter)
1,324GB at 10Mbps (throttled to 5Mbps thereafter)

ISPs that had rolling windows with clear limits: (Of course there is others who also had their limits clarified...)

Some of those "1.5TB" abusers:


IMHO I agree with DJ... and mweb should be boycotted as much as possible. They much like Microsoft with the xbox one wants you to just stomach it because it is good for you.
 
Feeling a bit sluggish this morning. Anything up? International updates , 5min+ for 11Meg file on a 4-6Mbps line?
 
Phoned MWEB yesterday regarding slow internet browsing and constant disconnects. Their solution was to drop my line speed to
3MB from the 4MB I am paying for. Needless to say, there was NO online gaming for any of us in the house last night. So, from bad, to worse.

I am getting really fedup with this cr@p.

Just to add injury to insult, I spent about 3 hours wuth MWEB Tech support trying different settings, and the only way I could get the 4MB speed that I pay for, was if they set my linespeed on their side to 5MB. Same day, trial account on an other ISP gave constant 4MB speeds without any tweaks.

MWEB is rubbish. (of late)

As a ex Mwebber I can sympathize with you guys. You are all really being screwed.

You all need to come over to the UK - downloaded 30gb in the last 6 hours at 1.6Mbps. No shaping, no throttling ever!

I wonder if MWEB hate users like you, because in directly its guys like you that cause users to cancel their accounts and move to the competition. And just one thing, if you pay more than a R1000 for your ISP account ALONE (using a 10MB) you'd EXPECT a TRUE UNCAPPED EXPERIENCE so F u buddy!

Plus whatever happen to MWEB's policy where they said you'd never get capped... EVER? Damn PR BS.. I'm seriously thinking of just jumping ship to openweb. I've been with MWEB for almost 3 years now and never experienced this stuff before..

I see openweb has a nice 10MB Gold uncapped deal for R969pm... Can anybody confirm to me how great this package is by any chance?
 
Just once if like to open an SD youtube video and not wait for it to buffer, on a '4meg premium uncapped' account

Hi

I checked your account and everything seems in order, I don't see anything that would cause any issues.
I also checked the line and that seem fine as well.
When this happens again please let me know, then drop me a PM with trace results to mweb.co.za and bbc.co.uk

Also please ensure that you DNS settings on the PC and router are set to auto.
