MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Me, apparently. The odd thing is, a non MWEB account seems to work fine when I test it.

Interesting! I had a full week of broadband bliss (SA version) at the new-found speed and suddenly the problems.
I will switch to my other standby accounts and test.
 
Browsing and downloads are definitely not on the same performance as a few days ago, I could download and do gaming all at the same time, now I have to shut down all downloads while gaming and then still get the dreaded lags and kick outs. You are literally killing me (in game :)). While browsing I get odd page not loading requiring a refresh and live cricket streaming stutters a bit. Mostly the International stuff. I did however had issues with local online banking a few times too.

I just had to reset my router again, 40 minutes after speaking with your consultant, who says all is well, and suggested it was my router, even though I have these issues with two separate routers.

I'd love to start getting angry at you guys, but I have no idea if this has anything to do with your service.

I surrender, frankly. Spoken at length with MWEB, and ditto for Telkom. No one seems to know what's happening, so honestly, what else to do but get used to stuck pages and having to reset my router every now and again?

First international sites would not load:

copacetic, thank you for the feedback you have provided thus far. Please can you keep us updated with regards to the feedback you receive from Telkom.

Sure. International dead again, so local should die in about 30 seconds, if history is anything to go by.

Or not. Weirdly, cannot connect to any site on another PC on the network.

There it went, had to reset again.

And the Telkom work is finished in my area.

Just had to restart router again.

I just spoke to the relevant department regarding the issues you are experiencing. They are going to call you again with regards to it.

Thanks, just had to reset again.

If it does it again, will try alt account and see what happens.

Went back to MWEB at some stage, and it's been fine since last night.

Man, this is annoying! :D

Same here, I used a standby account all was well downloads were meh but ok. Went back to Mweb and all is fine, but downloads were better. This is frustrating. I will monitor my line SNR, etc and see if it varies.

PS: I see it did change

Now:
Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 800
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 7040
SNR Margin (dB): 12.5 8.0
Attenuation (dB): 37.0 16.5
Output Power (dBm): 12.4 19.8
Attainable Rate (Kbps): 7616 992


Before:

Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 800+
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 8000
Attainable Rate (Kbps): 10000+ ?

Not having problems this morning; was watching Youtube with no issues and now downloading Server 8 Beta with no issues

Torrents were running but could not access any websites.

Had to restart router again, while trying to post this.

I also must mention that I've had these issues with and without torrents running.

Thanks, although I really have no clue if it's an issue from your side. Every time I speak to the specialists, they say all is well, which could well be correct, but does lead to the obvious question of what the heck is going on here.

I also must mention that I've had these issues with and without torrents running.

The same happened to me, could play LOTRO but websites would not load until I resest my router. My pings to UK is 360ms though :(
