Its been like this for last 2 weeks it got slightly better but its the same again.

I cannot Even do Ping test the i get the "packet lose test error".

getting full http download speeds, but streaming, uploading, and general browsing extremely slow

Fault still open ....... going on 16 hours now. Seriously need that link back :/

Got on just before 4am and it was the crappy 330 odd ..... come 4:45 and it's gone up an extra 100. Wth is going on with this awful latency, please fix it asap, it's not what I'm paying for.

Other account ...... still higher than usual but less than Mweb

Everything is slow atm. Slow Youtube buffering, slow own3d streaming, slow browsing even on mybb and higher pings to League of legends.

Hi dasco144
Has your experience improved ?

Hi Mephisto_Helix

Is it just the gaming latency thats giving you trouble ?

Hey Mweb Guy,

yeah, just the gaming hey, now and then a site will load slow .... but downloads are fine and general browsing is normal.

I just don't get this -

Outage Num:11459
MWEB IPC - Slow - Durban - Browsing and Email
Members in Durban may experience a increase in latency due to the link from Durban to Johannesburg being down. Traffic is being re-routed via Cape Town. Engineers are attending.
Start Date:2012-02-08 11:59:52
End Date:2012-02-09 07:28:40
Status:Closed

- when after the Durban link was introduced my ping went down to 270 and now since the issue it's back to 330 and more. Closed doesn't seem like it should be closed in my opinion.

Hi Mephisto_Helix

Do a trace route to a local and international site so that I can check how you are being routed.

Regards
MWEB Guy

Since the Durban link was implemented my speeds have dropped and my latency have gone up, in general.

So i would rather go via JHB at the moment.

There you go

Except for all the 330ms plus pings from the International test ........ day before yesterday, it's 250 odd, then you have a network issue and it's 100 higher. Seems that is a problem, no?

For pings to the US that seems about normal. In my experience you get these pings depending on the traffic on the network:

EU: 180 - 250
US: 280 - 350

And that's on gaming ports which have the highest priority on the MWEB network.

..... when I started playing DDO, my ping was 330, when the Durban link came online, I had an average of 270. Now, since yesterday, it's been sitting at 350-420.

.... Yep, same server since I started.
