Just want to thank MWEB Guy again for all of the help this week in getting my internet connection up and running, getting support to contact me, etc.
Awesome customer care service.

Thank you for all of the help.

Hi Jacx808

Thank you for the wonderful feedback.

It was a pleasure assisting you.

Hi MWEB Guy

Does Mweb offer their uncapped accounts pro-rata? Finished the trial yesterday, was amazing. My current solution is bad enough that I'm willing to jump to Mweb pretty much right now.

Welcome to the club :D

And yes, Mweb does pro-rata :3

Hi froot

Yes we do offer pro-rata billing, as Lycanthrope mentioned.

I can arrange for our team to contact you when you are ready in order to hook you up with a account.

Ok wonderful. I will get in touch with the support agent that set me up with the trial account, thanks.

Can't ping or connect to news.mweb.co.za (giving IP address 168.209.98.66) from two different locations on two different MWEB uncapped accounts. Ideas?

My internet is dead in Durban -looks like dns issues as can not resolve addresses

Hi zs6cey

There are no reported issues regarding DNS. If you can provide me with traceroute results, that would assist.

downforeveryoneorjustme.com tells me that's it's NOT just me -- that news.mweb.co.za appears to be down. Is this worth anything? Does that site test the connection over HTTP? I've reset my router as instructed after MWEB Guy reset my account or whatever and I still can't even ping news.mweb.co.za from two different locations on two different MWEB accounts. Clearly something is broken somewhere.

MWEB Guy please advise...

What's all that yebo.co.za junk?!

Also getting no ping reply from news.mweb.co.za from a machine on the TENET network and tracepath from that machine also ends in "no reply"...

Thanks for the information SabreWolfy. I will be sending this to the relevant persons for them to look into.

I'm still don't understand why I cannot ping or connect to news.mweb.co.za from (1) my MWEB ADSL line, (2) my parents' MWEB ADSL line and (3) a machine on the TENET network, yet I am told that "everything is fine" with news.mweb.co.za ... ?

Good Afternoon, we cannot replicate your problem on our side. We get a response from the server and we can connect to it. Please provide me screenshots of the results you obtain within command prompt.

news.mweb is extremely unreliable - so unreliable that it's worth your while to subscribe to a paid news host - that's what I did eventually.

Good Afternoon, we havn't had many complaints pertaining to news recently. Are you also not able to connect to our news server?

MWEB Guy, I was wanting to try Mweb as I have recently parted ways with the ISP I have been with for the past 2-3 years due to lack of adequate support. Well, this has not started well, because I have been trying to get through to New Services on 08600 32000 for the past 3 hours and the line is constantly engaged. I even sent a message to call me from the MWEB web site... no phone call as yet. Could you please assist?
