The special is on till end April. It says you have to phone their 0860 number for it to work.

Mweb guy, what's the Terms and Conditions behind this special?

A friend of mine is looking for something and he's looking at 5GB capped, so thought this could also do the trick just fine.

cool awesome, wonder what router it is, probably better then mine lol

Its a VKom(?) WNL108. Got mine yesterday because I thought it was free, looks like they charged me R356 for it though. :/
Will be phoning them today to find out why there was no mention of a price or charge for it in the application forms.

ps: mweb dropped the price of all 1mb uncapped products today! :D

Dear MWEB, thank you kindly for dropping the 1MB Price so nicely !
Savings are looking good since I downgraded to 1MB
Derek, you deserve a Bells (even though not directly influencing Telkom) I am sure you had a hand in there somewhere !

I will want to know if this is 100% so, because I signed up yesterday and my bill still says "R448.50" (half of this month and the entirety of next month).

Yup I noticed now. They dropped 384 data from their site.

The new MWEB pricing will be available immediately to all new customers, while existing MWEB subscribers will be automatically upgraded from 1 June 2012.

Meh... I signed up yesterday. Had I signed up today, I'd be saving R150 :o

Hi froot

This will be the new price for 1Mb customer going forward. It isn't a special we are running at all :)

Existing customers will automatically be reduced on the 1st June 2012 and new customers will get this price immediately.

Yeah I saw after I posted.
Just a pity I signed up yesterday though (1Mb), as mentioned now now.... Because my invoice is reflecting (obviously) the old price :(

I'm currently on the 384 uncapped package. Now the 1MB package is cheaper than my current package
Wtf??

Can I upgrade to 1MB and still keep my line on 384?

Hi Awesum

Are you on the 384 All Inclusive or the Data-Only package?

Good morning MWEB Guy

Great waking up to the news!

I was doing 1Mbit data only month to month non debit order. Today is the day I'm supposed to pay by. Last month I paid R30 extra, so the current amount they're asking for is R269 (R299 - R30).

Would this now be R169 (R199 - R30)?

Thanks!

Cool.
So I'll have to upgrade my line to 1MB?

You don't "have to" upgrade the line to 1Mb, the package on our side will be upgraded to 1Mb automatically.
If you would like 1Mb speeds, then it would required to upgrade the line itself with Telkom.
