MWEB Uncapped ADSL - Official Q & A

Final conclusive words:
When MWEB said 'I will revert', he meant: I will get back to what was said at a specific point in/of discussion of that specific person. Reverting in discussing what was discussed. And answer what ever query there is.

E.G

Person 1: answered
Person 2: answered
Person 3: answered
Person 4: unanswered
Person 5: answered
Person 6: answered
Person 7: answered
Person 8: answered
Person 9: answered
Person 10: answered
So MWEB will revert to person 4, what was discussed at person/point 4, because he did not answer him.
Remember no. 4 dictionary meaning.
 
Take that *** elsewhere, we have more important things to discuss here.

Question: With the proposed line speed changes in the pipeline (pun intended), will the uncapped speeds be changed to reflect the newer line speeds? If so, would we have to pay more?

ONE MEANING? Utter rubbish. Who said revert has one meaning? It's like saying a word like 'lean' has one meaning, how? There are about a dozen meanings of that word, ever heard of a lean harvest?

Regarding the 8MB line? I think MWeb said they will offer (look into) a new 8MB package.

OK let me revert to the revertation of this reverted topic... lOl...

So if I order a line from MWEB, can I even order from them, or do I order from telkom, then transfer my line.

if you have chosen the all-inclusive package they deal with telkom, otherwise you will have to deal with telkom yourself

With all packages :)

So on a 384k line, if that was bumped up to a 512 or 1MB line if the rumors are to be believed, would we pay extra or would the "package" stay the same speed?

im thinking prices will be re-arranged again, only thing that makes sense
 
Houston we have a problem, im an MWEB customer, still on the 3GB package for now, the news server has stopped working, there a load problem because of the new traffic?

Yeah only 1 thread is working atm.. This morning was 4.

Should be back to 4 a bit later.

Still got 300KB/s+ thought with 1 thread :)

Hi eyezonly,

1. No, there is no threshold (rolling or otherwise) or throttling on etiher the consumer (Connect) or Business Uncapped ADSL products.

2. Yes there is. The fee is R900 inc. VAT if one is within 50Km of the 3 major centres we operate from JHB, CPT & DBN, otherwise its R1500 inc. VAT. The fee includes on-site installation of the bundled router by a MWEB field engineer.

3. Yes all prices quoted are VAT inclusive.

4. Neither, all MWEB Uncapped ADSL products run on MWEB's own carrier-class backbone.

5. You may continue on a month-to-month basis after the initial 12 month contract period.
