I currently rent email addresses from mweb for R70, if i get their uncapped package will that R70 a month fall away? like it did with iBurst.

We had a dial-up account with them that we kept active just for the email addresses that were still in circulation. They upgraded that account to uncapped, and everything stays the same.

@ the rep, I'm struggling to upload pics and videos to facebook...maxing out at 1-2KB/s. Are you guys aware of this?
Anyone else here have the same problem.

PS
All downloads stopped.
Bus and after hours.

Nice to see a rep here...don't go AWOL on us when things go pear shaped :) CD@DC :)

Has Mweb oversold their bandwith?

This is not acceptable and yet they are taking users on daily !?!

WTF is up with dat?

Your line attenuation is very high. Phone Telkom on 0800375375 to do a line test and ask them to reset your DSLAM port.

Hi All,

For those who haven't seen, I'd like to bring to your attention that our online upgrade (to Uncapped) tool is now avalaible. This will be relevant to existing customers who would not be auto-migrated due to their specific circumstance e.g. upgrade would change monthly billing etc.

Click on the 'ADSL online signup here' link in my sig and choose the 'Upgrade your existing account' option.

@Mweb: Is there any ETA on current uncapped clients being able to upgrade (and I suppose downgrade) accounts without signing up again?

Hi, is it possible to change/upgrade billing details in the MyADSL/Billing page?
Hi Rosaudio,

I dont believe so, but let me make sure (staff/test acc obviously don't have this).

FEEDBACK: Yes, we allow bank details to be updated from MyAccount

+1 considering no one did get back to me about moving the free 512 account to 4mb

Hi AntiThesis,

Have you tried our sales call centre (check Contact link in my sig)? As far being able to do it online, I'd need to check.

FEEDBACK: The online upgrade tool I mentioned allows one to upgrade uncapped product to higher linespeed, but downgrades will need to be done via the call centre.

Don't you ever sleep? Or is there an endless army of MWEB clones that logs on? :D
Hi AntiThesis,

I try to when I can. While we're on your second point, I will shortly be joined by other MWEB Reps to handle run of the mill sales/billing/support queries ... more on this later.

Another query! Why are your Signature so small, No wonder we missed it and searched for the Mweb site! You had to "make" us notice it?

I am not one to complain but this has been getting worse as I do not mind shaping during the day as stated, but I am being heavly shaped late at night. I have a Telkom ISP account that gives me a constant 42kps when I connect with it and as soon as I swap over to my MWEB I get 14kps speeds(Local downlaod).
When I started with the R219 Mweb account as I was one of the first and got constant 42kps downloads. Then I slowly saw the service degrading during the day (being shaped) which is fine as I get 10-20kps speeds, but what I have a problem with is the fact that it has been more than a week that at night I do not go over 15-20kps and I have tested other accounts where I get 36-42kps to be sure it is MWEB.

Why is this so and can it be a technicality on my side or am I indeed being shaped after hours?
I loved the service so far, mweb is never down, good clients care but just this shaping after hours is bothering me tad bit as the MWEB consultant that sold me the product said I will get full speed after hours unless of course the networking is taking strain which is fine… but if so will I ever get 36-42kps speed again or is this going to be the average connection I have to deal with?

When I wake up I see downloads at 2-3kps some times, then I swap over on telkom and bam full speeds!! This is direct downloads they give me full speed so it is my mweb acc shaping it I'm 99% sure. This is not torrents...

Will I be able to get normal speeds again, is there some thing wrong with my acc?
any advice?

Thx Mweb rep.
