just had a tweet from a mate of mine, they at a launch of DSTV on demand with mweb

I say lets stop waiting, put all our money together... R100 or so per person in SA thats interested, and lets buy telkom off, we only need 51% i think, then we can say how telkom should run and charge

I used to view OnDemand content from my Axxess Local-Only account pre-uncapped.

Trying the OnDemand site now, I get many page load errors...fail! Besides...It's pretty lame watching movies in a little Windows Media window...YouTube & Vimeo HD options are way better

I noticed their minimum recommended linespeed is 4Mb...also...on SABC Tax!!!!!

I think it will be quite a feeble effort if all the hype is simply about the *re*launch of an existing product. Besides, downloading DStv on demand programs would really only be aimed at 4MB users. I can't imagine 384kbps users making much use of it ...

If I remember correctly, they moved the Website to an International hosting provider due to high bandwidth costs in SA. MyBB did do an article on it.
