MWEB Uncapped - something big might be happening tomorrow!

please please please cut my leg off now!!... I can’t handle these leaches on my leg anymore....

Didn't DSTV just try the same stunt releasing an "amazing" new offering (R99 DSTV subscription) and its uptake also failed?! Seems TopTV might have DSTV a bit worried that they now have to dig things out of their bag-o-tricks to keep people interested?
 
Such a huge fail in my book, so I can start hating Mweb again. Why would I waste money to watch last nights crap when I can watch 100 times over another time. Don't give me the watch what you missed bit, when you repeat everything millions of times

MEH! If they shape the streaming then theres no use in even attempting to watch, if they don't shape then the network is gonna get sooooo congested. sigh epic fail
 
agreed , it has been here for donkey year, the only diffrence is that now you have to have mweb before you can actualy use it. before you could use it with any other ISP streaming to your pc.
 
If Mweb want to take full advantage of this offering, then hey HAVE to unshape all our uncapped accounts, otherwise its a BIG fail on their part.
 
I don't understand how this is "exciting news" - DTSV on Demand has been around for yonks for Premium DSTV subsrcibers.... so there is nothing new here?!

If they had live streaming of all the DSTV channels - THAT WOULD BE BREAKING NEWS!!!

You people are a bunch of never pleased whiners!

Mweb never said its a big ADSL-only announcement! Besides, I consider it a cool value add-on. Sure, not everyone can utilize it, but its still a massive development for them. Just because its not accessible to all the "i want unlimited bandwith for less than McCheeseburger price and i want it unshaped and fiber and a free PC too while your at it" crowd doenst mean that some of their users wont benefit. If every company just developed stuff that ALL their clients could use then no progress would ever be made.

And Mweb hosting the stuff means viewing should be a lot better than what would have been the case had they been forced to source the content from another ISP. I think this is a positive step towards true IPTV. But unless LLU happens soon or Telkom lowers prices that still remains in the future. At least when external stuff starts to happen Mweb will be positioned well to quickly roll out other services/options.

We have been watching our series as it gets released for years now. Why should a crap anouncment like this get anyone excited? Dstv on demand is nothing new. I should now start paying a premium subscribtion just to be able to download (or rather stream) old crappy shows.

YEAH but dont great false hope and expectations....How many people ran and subscribed to Mweb from yesterday thinking something big is gonna happen in the ADSL market en nou is hulloe vas in COntracts...SWAK ekse....Seems mweb wanna go back to be hated by all
 
Where are those torrents again... LOL i rather get the season and watch what i want when i want, who needs dstv, still need the uncapped 4MB though 8MB and 24MB i can learn to get used to :D
