MWEB Uncapped - something big might be happening tomorrow!

I'm inclined to agree with the IPTV or DSTV collaboration proposals mentioned earlier...

Ja, that has been on the cards for some time now... but I thought our big friend Telkom might have been in line for that honour.

If it was my business I would gamble on removing shaping/throttling completely with the view to getting as many accounts as possible prior to the arrival of the EASSY line. If I had already done a deal with them then I would know what my cost structure would look like for the next year (or more) and would take a hit in the short term for long term numbers. I would buy up as much short term bandwidth as I could to tide me over till the new line comes on stream, that's what I would do if I was running the company.

My FTW account end last night :( So waiting for tomorrow before I decide to pay for one ;) Please let this be good and not wireless crap :p

so much hype...

this FTW online ''teasing'' is a very sharp double edge sword for mweb..

either they get a lot of good press + publicity or it blows up in their faces

whatever they announce won't live up to expectations created here though!

I heard they are buying out Telkom and ditching ADSL rentals and just selling the accounts with lines at the current bandwidth only rates :p

i wish!

can prices drop any further when Eassy goes online in july, especially with the whole LLU issue ?

with lower bandwidth prices it can only make Telkom look even more ridiculous.... But do they care is the question?

I think it goes something like this...

If you are a DSTV subscriber and an MWEB subscriber, then you will be able to "mash" the two products together to create one ONLINE entertainment experience.

Ok that's my prediction. Let's see who's closer. ;)

Either being able to receive my full dstv service over the net OR a discounted bundle of dstv and uncapped would be awesome. We'll know in just over 12 hours! Hope it lives up to this hype.

I'll laugh if mweb goes the other way and announces that they are closing, liquidating all assets and charging us all one million rand ^_^ would be epic, get a good uncapped thing going, get tones of people to join then sit back and strike when the times right. Teh master plan! mwahahahaha.

I'm actually thinking these guesses relating to DSTV may have something to them.... what with both companies being in bed together under Naspers, TopTV hitting DSTV's profits and MWeb gaining popularity....
