Mine is dreadful, general browsing is sooooo slow here in CT. I am giving up now although I am fast running out of patience!!
 
For what it's worth my general browsing has been fine including Youtube with the connection never having being lost except for the five minute gap a day or two ago. P2P and FDM are shot to pieces but this will hopefully be resolved on the weeknend - can't come soon enough!
 
Same story here,

4Mbit uncapped has never exceeded 1.2mbit this week. Thats just on normal email traffic to our offsite mail server. When we got it, it ran at 3.6-3.8mbit on pop3 mail downloads

Even uploads are struggling at 0.21mbit.

They must be oversubscribed big time with the delays in the additional bandwidth,
 
Still don't understand why the mweb newserver is so bad atm? If the local IPC is fixed than all should be fine. A local newsserver will put less strain on their international links that is clearly under strain. You add the silence of support and you just know they are hiding something. This does not hold well for the future. I am beginning to feel less confidant about the magical "switch" being flipped on the weekend and BOOM it will rock again...
 
Last night it was worse than the previous night...

this morning local Mweb news was actually out performing astroweb..

On my 4 Meg line was getting about 5 to 10k from astroweb and mweb news I was getting arounnd 20k. Mweb say that the worst is behind us now... funny since that mail came around.. my connection is steadly getting worse ...

this IPC upgrade has just made things worse... I am not holding my breath for Sundays upgrade... will we then lose p2p all together by Monday ???????

Only general surfing seems to be fine... (and I am talking about webpages) Last night I did downloaded Ubuntu updates from the local repos,.. 120k a second.. and that pure http. (so even that is effected now), but funny that 120k a second is the fatest my line has been in 3 weeks.


I am very disappointed with mweb at the moment...

Bear in mind that the news server may not have ALL articles stored locally. Anything that's not stored locally needs to be retrieved from the upstream server, which is likely not in SA.
 
Well after a week or two of terrible speeds my torrents are flying this morning 25-30kB/s. I noticed it shoot up from about 3kB/s to 20kB/s at around 12:00 last night now this morning they're chugging along nicely. Newshost is also running better, a little inconsistent though with speeds jumping from 20 - 35kB/s but all in all better than the last week. (Just in time for the new South Park too :D)

Was getting bleak for a while there MWEB but this is looking more like it. Shot.

my speeds are supper fine. I did about 20GB since last nigh 20:00 till this morning 6:30. It was going at 480 - 500KB/s straight through the night
 
Someone flicked a switch.

News Server running at about 35kb compared to yesterday's 20odd and lower.

 
4 pages of complaints and questions relating to their news server and slow speeds and not a word from Mweb reps...the trick is to engage with customers when they are happy and when they are unhappy...
 
Going away this weekend, hope this is sorted out by the time im back. Ive been downloading an 8GB torrent for over a week.
 
bleh,just played a game of BFBC2 with a guy that had mweb 1mbps unshaped (i have 4mbps shaped).he has a ping of 60 while i have a ping of 180 which is pissing me off.everyone else who had mweb shaped on the server also had pings between 180 and 200.
