Point is, I have the account now. When I get a new account, I'll get a new account, but while I am still with MWEB, I am going to do what any customer does and bitch about it.

Don't know if it's the one but if i was paying for a 4mb uncapped account and being shaped during business hours, and NO ONE bothered to address my concerns, i would let my wallet speak and demand my 1 month cancellation period be dne away with because of the terrible speeds.

Right now i am paying for 384k so I am nowhere near you 4mb people.
Only read good things so far about the Openweb accounts.. troll around :D
 
yea, what's up with the speed tonight? bloody well seeded torrents are dragging at 40kbs on a 4meg... i'm constantly refreshing webpages so they would load correctly.... WTF mweb???!??!???!?!!! grrrrr

Nothing is up with Mweb..

I spoke with support and I was told I have a shaped account... thats how its gonna be from now on.
 
I have just sent through cancellations on behalf of 50 of my clients.
Sorry MWEB, but you are screwing my business over badly

Webhosts, Email Hosting, Dedicated Servers - all of it !:sick:
 
I just spent the last 5min waiting for a damn image to load (340KB) - and then it timed out. Screw this - tomorrow I cancel.
 
my connection was also very erratic. I would get good speed then it would go to 0 then go back up again all day long. Now it is stable again. WOnder what happened today.
 
Basically, give them a call and they will email you a cancellation form. Fill it in and fax/email it back. You account will then be cancelled at the end of November.

So far my speed has also been pretty crappy on international news server, avrg 10 kB/s. That said, looks like everyone and their granny is tripping up the interwebz tonight looking at CINX traffic.
