also having really inconsistent speeds and i lose connectivity (but the connection is fine) out every couple of minutes.. No idea whats going... Any known problems on the mweb network?
 
lol, well i can get to this site but the mweb page wont load... This only started happening yesterday, up till tehn i've had a great experience with mweb...
 
Had a long, whiny and boring post. Here's the condensed version:

Torrents are switched off for 17 hours every day. Barely get 30kb/s during the short window that I can actually download. Pings on TF2 and BC2 are 350ms or higher. 800ms on SGS servers thanks to the peering cuts. Youtube takes forever. HTTP downloads are slow and some keep timing out at 99% regardless of download manager used. Websites return connection reset errors and also time out.
Switch over to a capped account and everything is great. Must be my line, right?

I'm out. Cancelling today.

Where are you moving to... I'm looking at options as well. What's Mwebs cancellation policy?

it download fine without any issues without using a download manager, don't you have any examples that is not around 1gig ? i suppose you did download all 3 parts and not just part 3, trying to unzip that...

just to make sure we are looking at the same files here, i've searched for the one and got at a Hot Bdsm Collection link site, is that correct ?

Thanks - I'll give it a try again tonight and see if it works.

Yup - its from porn-w or some other sketchy forum. Luckily only the mild stuff failed, the extreme stuff downloaded just fine :twisted:

Edit : Just tried the links again - still fails at the same point each time. Where in SA are you ? Perhaps this is just a Cape Town problem.

Please provide me with more information with regards to the timeouts, which websites, if its only browsing, etc.

GP/pta east. so let me understand this correctly, your file fails during the download or are you able to download all the parts and then it fails during extraction ?

http://jdownloader.org/ seems to work with things like FileSharing places.

Last day with MWEB today :) Off to greener pastures.... hope you guys get your network sorted.

More feedback. It was my AVG firewall that was messing with GMail. Uninstalled and GMail works fine :) (I installed AVG around the time I switched to MWeb).

Back to WoW!

this is bull****, my connection drops every 5 minutes and speeds are terrible...
if this is not fixed by tomorrow consider this my account cancelation
 
I sent my cancellation email and got an automated response... is that it?
