Thank goodness Team Fortress 2 is updating at full speed, I need me some... Team Fortress 2! O_o

Edit: *gasp* Mweb gamezone ftw.

Hi Mike

Please note that you will not be able to route to cpt.news or jhb.news, you will have to use news.mweb and we will route you to the closest server.

Kind regards

Hi MWEB Ops,

I am using news.mweb, but keep getting a timeout error.

Guys please, I've been struggling to connect to Astraweb for two days now.

It connects for a few seconds, does about 150KBps, then drops down to zero after a min or two. I've tried SSL and non-SSL on 119, 8080, 443 and 563.

I'm using SABNZB+ and am on Mweb Uncapped 4mbps.

What's up?!

I just want to say that steam is now low priority bandwidth. Is this an error, or is this now the norm.
Please can steam be neutral, with the new low speeds with low priority during the day if I log out for any reason, I can't log in as steam tries to update before logging in and a 10mb download at a maximum of 10KB/s is a very long time, I have a 4mb line.

P2P bandwidth is fine to shape, but to make it impossible to log in to a service because of shaping is now a bit ridiculous no?

EDIT: Just want to add, yes I am a bit pissed off about this. I don't mind shaping downloads, I do mind when I can't access my games thanks to the shaper.
EDIT 2: Double checked, ran a few torrents, checked their maximum speed, stopped them, went back into steam and checked the TF2 update's speed, the same -> just wanted to check that I am not being unecessarry here (for the record 75KB/s max at 00:31)

Judging by the speed difference I can only think that mweb has more subcribers in the ct area than the jhb area or that the ct point is inferior for its subcriber base. Which makes location based routing a little unfair, what we gotta do for better speeds? Move? WTF that makes no sense.

My torrents have been brutally slow the past two/three days. Is anyone else experiencing this?

its torrents, kill torrents go file hosting http. im only using free accounts, and yes i get same stuff i would from torrents.

January 25, 2011 1831.6 13535.6 15367.2

had my best day with mweb yesterday :P

You guys worrying me, im with AFRICRAP and want to move to MWEB - seems MWEB also a prob , unless AFRICRAP has 'bloody agents' who post these things about MWEB

do u mean like rapid share?

yes rapid is nice as can q allot it does not a code to start the download just waiting time, so i q a few though the day.

use jdownloader to q filesharing.

hotfile,fileserver,bitshare,freakshare,duckload etc few i use

rapid, freak and bitshare seems to download the fastest, duckload support large files for free, but is insane slow like 20kbs , normally my last resort

Interestingly I had my best latency yesterday since joining mweb middle of 2010, was on a UK server last night sitting with a ping of 176ms on a 384k line!
This was only in cpt apparently not for Joburg Mweb users!

I don't know what you have done Mweb but its working for me!

MWeb why cant we choose our own routing for the news group server.

I am in cpt and use to get much better speed from the jhb server....

Eish, thats it , im moving
