In case there are still people that haven't noticed, here are the facts:

If you are experiencing speed issues you will probably notice the pattern of 56k speeds from 8am to midnight, and 4meg speeds from midnight to 8am. The Mweb guys on this forum will ask you for your username and do 'things' to 'fix it'. Nothing will get fixed. Then they will never acknowledge the fat that the network is being throttled or shaped specifically between those hours. Then someone else will post the same problem and they will ask for his account name and so the cycle continues.

They are trying to keep us subscribed for as long as possible before we all jump ship. Wake up and smell the coffee. I have not had speeds over 20k/sec during the daytime for around a month. Nothing has been done. Still waiting for a call from the 'engineers' who have my 'data'.

I am cancelling in the morning and if you want decent internet at a reasonable price I am going with Axxesslite for R19 per gig prepaid. Have been using it for a week and sometimes it has been slow, but most of the time it is great. Try it out! Or one of the other options out there. FREE THE INTERNET! Time to put this lame horse out of its misery...
 
All day a P2P was doing about 35K with major up and down swings, tonight at 11:30Pm it is doing great at between 18 and 21kb/s and that's on a 4M ADSL. I may as well go down to 384K as they do better most of the times. C'mon [-]Telkom[/-]Mweb, admit now your service is a major fail and your engineers and management a bunch of idiots.

PS: New Web pages takes ages to load, what a fsucking disgrace.

Almost 11PM & nothing is working...NOTHING AT ALL....can't even load 50kb jpeg properly.
 
So, is Mweb going to respond to this problem? I have been using Mweb Uncapped since it first came out. I have been playing WoW on it for all that time, albeit with Battleping to reduce my ping further. I never in all that time had these problems. It is now unplayable, which is extremely frustrating. I would like to know if it is going to stay like this because if that is the fact, ill downgrade this Mweb Uncapped account to a 512k account instead of paying for the 4 megabit version and just use it for downloading and buy bandwidth from another ISP for my gaming needs. I personally hope that this isnt the case as I really do support Mweb. I just want a response from Mweb clearly stating this is their new intentions for the service that it is going to be aggressively shaped during the day up to 12 am and only unrestricted after then because if that is the case I can not use Mweb Uncapped to play World of Warcraft anymore and have to find another ISP where I can. Please Mweb give us information. I cant keep logging on every day to play WoW and hoping maybe today Mweb will be fine to play on.
 
1:30 am and my P2P torrents are going at max 30kb/s. They both have over 5000 seeds each. This is beyond a joke.
 
Lol, some of you people seriously make me laugh. Do you really think that mweb will admit that this is their new service? Of course not! Don't be idiots. Mweb are smarter than all of us. They will continue to deny, they will continue to hide, they will continue to ignore. They will never admit that this is now their new service. Why? Well, it's simple really, they know that if they admit everything, that they will lose a lot of their client base. Everyone is gonna start jumping ship to other ISPs and mweb wont be able to milk us anymore.

Mweb has already stated that these speeds on P2P is normal and that we shouldnt expect much change. Be that as it may, its getting progressively worse. They also assume that nothing has changed since the beginning of this month and the speeds we have been experiencing this month is the standard P2P speeds we have always had.

Yes, that has actually been said. Tomorrow WebAfrica makes an announcement, lets hope its something good for the internet community.

Watch how the Mweb reps get very "inactive" when the complaints start rolling in. Not talking about at this time but earlier.

Everything is better in Cape Town! I downloaded 20 gb yesterday on my 4mb uncapped and often have wow pings under 200ms. Between 168-250ms most of the time but occasionally goes into the 300's

Zord in fact I'm sure that they are doing it just so that they can watch you squirm. :)

I can see them now pointing and giggling, while they check this thread every morning while having coffee.
 
I really do wish it was some sick joke. All I want is a decent wow ping that is playable. I am not asking for my torrents to go at max speed 24/7. I just want to be able to log into WoW without having to worry if its playable. I am getting low on cash buying R99 gig from Webafrica every 4 days just to play WoW...

Oh and btw, I wont stop bitching and moaning until WoW gets fixed. Thanks!

Make it more public, that at least gets a response from them. Goto their facebook page and post your complaints about it on their wall, watch how fast you get a response then, although generic, as soon as you make it public which might give them bad publicity they will be all over your problem :(
 
u must have a 384k line or something... ive got a 4mb line and wow + leatrix... running great... the occasional lag spike but overall doing 25 raids at 200-300 ms.

Good morning Sillicur

I am aware that Zord has a 4meg account with us, I am also aware that you have a 384 shaped account with us. Please advise what your expectations are for your 384 shaped account?
 
Another bad night with Mweb..

I love how the problem magically fixes itself in the early hours of the morning... I was downloading at full speed this morning when I woke up. I know when I get home it will be 10k a second again (4 Meg line). I did speak to a techincal specialst yesterday afternoon.

He did admit there is a problem on the Mweb network, with Intenational access.. So hopefully a fix will come soon.
