"repeated instances of prolonged download sessions at line, or near line speeds which is placing an undue burden on our network and is not in keeping with our Acceptable Usage Policy."

+1

Why then call it uncapped, when you get limited, and not allowed to max your line.

Thats like driving a Bugatti Veyron on the autobahn in Germany with no speed limits, but then the cops tells you sorry you cant go faster then 120km/h when your suppose to be doing 400km/h.

That's a point, and although it's ridiculous, I wouldn't be too worried if I was getting a slow speed (even super slow) during the day, it's the utterly dead no-speed that is irksome.

They should rather set a minimum of say like 10Kbps during the day - not frikkin 0! If their network cant handle that then its time to upgrade.

Not quite, no, as this Veyron came with a manual that quite clearly stated its limitations.

Thanks PurSpyk, what are your STEAM download speeds like? (actual speeds).

The last time there were updates it was around 50kb/s it used to be 400kb/s, and I have been downloading from the MWeb server as soon as it was available, hoping it would be faster than using an international server (which recently has actually been slightly faster)

Please let me know what you were downloading, in order for us to test.

Page 905 ... Guys, the solution is simple, hand in your cancellation notice, suffer another month and find an ISP that suits your needs.

Will, if I recall correctly you've previously stated that the speeds you get on P2P/NNTP is a good gauge of the utilization on the network, well if P2P/NNTP is @ 0KB/s then apparently you've oversold the product and you need to purchase further capacity.

Definitely what I'd be doing come first July '11 and any online game is still ****ed and I'm forced to use other isp or services to be able to play my games.

Greg, 10Kbps is not even acceptable when WE are paying for 4Mb accounts, we should not be happy with 1/40th of our throughput because Mweb is squeezing every possible drop out of their purchased bandwidth. Did they release the product at that price point expecting noone to actually use it?

MWEB Guy can you please answer the question about SSL on Usenet?

Please direct all your questions to our abuse team, as requested in my previous response to you.

Kind regards, MWEB Guy
