There were some Left 4 Dead 2 updates, and some other updates to Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike Source, Day of Defeat Source, there are usually a few games that get updated when Team Fortress 2 gets updated. All these updates were slow.

daytime browsing has been pathetic, im thinking of moving my home & work uncapped to openweb. i think its time to move over to a company that is wants clients. has anyone used the openweb gold 1mb for R419, how are daytime browsing speeds? would like to leave mweb asap

I don't honestly think it's a matter of 'not wanting clients'

It's their crap rules / policies they have setup that is causing these problems.
That is why when they find a issue, they contact you, check your details and modify the above accordingly*.

*Insert time here to keep you happy and stop moaning before they reimplement it again.

Yes, MWEB put a policy in place to stop your connection because they deemed it that your download was NOT important enough to finish at the expense of their over saturated network.

I think all the recent MWEB problems resulted in a dramatic drop of the SA connectivity rating on Speedtest - hence my results (bragging rights right there) are being so awesome...

Earlier today, I couldn't stream a video at all. It wouldn't even start. :/ (and yes, it was actually live)

I pretty much had it with MWeb today. A short 3 week stint on uncapped and with tonights escapade of not even being able to sent out an email or accessing international sites such as Facebook this has become a pointless exercise. MWeb had since the 10th of June to rectify the problem and has not delivered. I will therefore request cancellation and full refund of any funds debited from my account tomorrow. I have also instructed my bank to put a stop on MWEB debit orders on my account, as I believe the company has made no reasonable effort in resolving the issue (it is not sufficient to sent me an SMS every other day without showing any improvement)

Despite some positive feedback from some users, the majority of users do report issues. While one can understand the shaping of torrents and news-servers, I am not able to download a legit copy of Xcode as part of the Apple developer programme (4GB will take me 11 days to download) - something which can be downloaded on Afrihost within a few hours.

I will also lodge a formal complaint with the CPA and ICASA as MWEB advertises a product which does not seem to work for the majority of users. One can assume that only people with bad experience post here, but the negative feedback is outright overwhelming. Trying to download Linux via torrents has become impossible and especially people trying to work from home will not be able to show any productivity (connecting to basecamphq.com for project updates is unworkable from home).

The advertised product MWEB Uncapped is not fit for purpose and does not deliver as advertised (i.e. "Use as much data as you like" / "Always-on internet access").

whats so strange is that it was working for me from 18:20 till about 7PM, and then suddenly went all crappy on me again. And this is when the final @ dreamhack is tied at 1-1 - can you believe anything more cruel and simply unfrigginbelievable?

oh my sack - and their support department seems to simply ignore you. I phoned today and spoke to Byron who promised to get someone to call me today still to give me feedback on my query that is now 2 weeks old. guess what? no contact from them. I will call again tomorrow - even though I will be canceling I will be on top of them to try and push them to give me the service I used to have up until 2 months ago.

Edit: missed a whole game, but its working on 240p again. Not going to try anything higher, this match is too tense.

I have an idea MWEB.

It's onvious now you guys are capacity constrained because you made the accounts so cheap and somehow only now waking up to this. So then why not just block all p2p and nntp on the cheap accounts and create new more expensive that had the same shaping rules we had two months ago? People were happy then even though they were still shaped at times. That you get more money to upgrade your network.
