MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

Shall we all send a generic complaints email to [email protected] ?

If someone can formulate a good structured complaints email it would be great and we can just send it to ISPA with your own name and complaint part in it so that someone at least can be made aware of our ignored plight. Could do the same for the CPA and ASASA ?

Thanks for volunteering :D

I don't seem to be able to log onto Windows Live MSN Messenger, have to use my bloody phone. Anyone else having this problem?

Can't connect to a host of sites and my PS3 won't connect to the PSN network. Is something down?

Hi All,

We are experiencing a problem with international traffic at the moment, our engineers are investigating and we will provide you feedback once resolved.

Kind regards,

We need more information than just a pat on the back please.

Well, my experience is as follows: Browsing is useless, page loads keep timing out. NNTP is dead, speed readout is in bytes. Remote desktop (standard port) to server in Germany is a nightmare. FTP to company server maxing out at 80Kb/s (Passive as well as active mode). Source vault on non standard port keeps timing out.

Will try the magic super duper router reset method. If that doesn't work I am going to bed.

...ISPA complain emailing is only going to work if we do it in volumes.

Funny thing is, I opened up this thread, and it was automatically at page 600 and something and Mweb guy said more less the same thing ;)

Woah - this is massive! If I"m understanding it correctly Mweb aren't allowed to call it uncapped anymore. Why wasn't there a MyBB article on this?

There was. Ages ago.

Times are different now. I feel MyBB is going very very soft on MWEB these days. Must be all the advertising money.

Interesting find - based on the procedural guide, MWEB should have removed the term "uncapped" within two weeks, which has not been done. Will drop ASA, ISPA and CPA a detailed email about this. I honestly feel that MWEB's practices are not just a violation of ASA, as their shaping/throttling does not leave a working product in place and no-one should have to pay for the notice period unless MWEB can provide essential services during that time which I doubt will be the case.

MWEB has confirmed more than once in this thread that they have appealed the ruling and that their legal team is looking into the issue. As such, I expect that the issue is still pending.
