400KB/s all morning, then at 3pm exactly, drops to 200KB/s and then at 6pm, back up to 400KB/s

I just got my 1 month free of uncapped and I'm doing full speed on my 4mb line 430Kb/s :) :) :) Busy downloading demos and videos off the playstation store and doing a torrent and browsing. All going so smooth, loving it!!!!! Does the PS3 use HTTP for downloading or what?

What are the 384 speeds throttled to during the day and what is the average speeds during the evening? I download 3gigs on average a day with my 384 line.

HTTP, no throttle running at full speed (with a touch of poor ping every once in a while). Torrents/NNTP/RapidShare i'm getting about half the speed during the day, though definitely not all day at all. Maybe for roughly 2 hours it was that speed today. Today, was simply brilliant.

And during off peak times?

Right now, I'm full speed ahead! There was a problem last night, it appears to have been resolved.

EDIT: Um, though you must remember "off peak" is used loosely, as there is no finite time considered off peak; merely its defined by Mweb as a time when usage is low enough to allow those protocols to have full speed.

Agreed, today was brilliant, 6PM for full speed is amazing!

I've cancelled my subscription to MWeb, they did however bill me pro rata until the end of April. I'll keep using it during April and see what's what before I decide to activate the subscription again. One day of good speed is nothing to get excited about, I want to test it for at least a month solidly before I decide.

I believe this too... thus why I'm pushing my line - I want to try understand their network, when they throttle, when they don't, what they throttle, what they don't.

Ive had my mweb uncapped for one day and im planning on cancelling this account tomorrow...

My ping used to be around 50 - 70...earlier today it was 130 now its 250, im not gona pay for that.

Got my free test account today and did a test on SpeedTest.net:

Torrents running @ 380-400kB/s

Loving it!!!

EDIT: Gaming is good as well, in a game right now and the Latencies are lower than 100ms constantly...definitely good.

Ja but dude it's uncapped :D

gdiza : it is a shaped service and higher pings are to be expected , depending on the shaping.

On that note I think this service is awesome If had it since launch date and I have download about 160gig till now.
I am just now getting weird results on browsing the internet. Speed test.net gets me about 1.3mbps but my downloads are going at 450-490kb/s. Very Weird.
Anyone else experiencing this?
