Anyone else getting slow browsing? Sometimes it loads fast but most sites lag and then get stuck in the loading process as well, only loads up once the page is refreshed 1 or 2 times. In addition some pages never completely load..most of the page is there maybe 90-98% and then it just stops loading?
 
Yeah, my browsing is acting odd as well. Also had a dc a couple hours back....

The line has always been 4mb and is still with Telkom. I just signed up this morning with Mweb and that result was my first speed test. Havn't gotten those speeds again though. Maybe it was just some tests being done on the line.
 
I have just signed up with Mweb from axxess and I'm not happy with the what I have. Browsing is slow and some times the web site address doesn't get resolved. Earlier I couldn't even connect to the mweb site!!!!Is this normal or have I struck a bad patch. I waited and waited on their service help desk and eventually rung off. Not an auspicious start. Any comments most elcome

Hi grahambell

What kind of speeds are you getting for each of these: http downloads, torrent downloads, newservers, FTP and youtube downloads? Also do a speedtest and pingtest. Then we'd be able to see if you're getting really bad service or in line with what we're all getting. My experience with the Mweb uncapped is around average to below average for a 384k line..I'm just hoping it gets better..
 
9:28... all I'm getting is 200KB/s.

I want my 400KB/s! :)

384 uncapped is crap. the slow download speed take the fun out of ****. it takes 4-5hrs to download 700mb but when i switch to my 4mb capped acc iam done in 30min. and for R899 4mb uncapped they can eat ****. so far not good...
 
My side the 384k seems to be average at best: I have reset the line, power cycled the modem still a bit iffy in terms of performance levels..

The latency has increased dramatically since last night, it was about 80ms last night now it hovers around 200ms:

Just hoping something gets done to improve these speeds so I can make a choice of which ISP I'll go with :)
