I think that a few years ago there were more business users than home users, so evening and weekends used to be quieter. With cheaper ADSL the ratio seems to have switched, and there is no such thing as 'off-peak' any more. MWeb must have configured their network to cater for this...
Any time you (as a typical user) want to use the internet, so will almost everyone else. It is not at all surprising that at 11.30 on a Saturday is busy. Try 6am on Sundays (like the old days when bandwidth was very limited).

Getting average of 200KB/s on MWEB's 4MB uncapped.
Ag, I'm not really complaining - but so long I get more than 150KB generally on my downloads and when I'm not doing those downloads (like Windows updates) I get 400KB/s (which it seems is happening) then I'm also okay with the service, so far, I'm still happy.

Not true. My torrent uploads are still uploading @ 50kbs. Uploads are almost never effected. Ive seen during the day that my upload seem to be going @ 50kbs when my download speed is shaped.

Bru, let me explain something to you, you don't know crawling till you've had a account with Neotel.
Be grateful you get 180KB!!! I used to get like 10/15KB daily, for yonks with Neotel.
Back on with ADSL, I'm very happy AND grateful to have anything more than 100KB/s and the fact that it's UNCAPPED makes it even more awesome.

Back from Easter Vac, left uTorrent open with RSS Schedule and "its" all downloaded. I could not be happier.
