I've been checking my speedtest results for the past few hours and it's been slow at around 2.44... seems back to normal again now. Add to this a lot of people complaining about slow speed and even DownStorm running very slowly. I'd suspect something was wrong with the network ... I might be wrong though.

EDIT: Just checked again, and still running slower than normal :S
 
Thanks hambone, nearly thought Telkom made Xmas come early this year :D

Still checking my line and it's overall not performing as per normal. All speedtest results are coming back below 3 and has now dipped to below 2. O well, will call it a night and have a look tomorrow morning.
 
My HTTP speeds are all effed!!!! My Speedtest results are all effed!!! My MWEB experience is becoming more effed!!!! Its been great so far........FARK it all to hell - thats what i say. Hopefully it will get better - SOON!!

Anyone knows of any alternatives right now or any alternatives in the pipeline? I reckon i'm going to start a new trend - hopping service providers once a month - SOMEONE out there has to be able to deliver a better service. I wish this country would get its ****e together already as far as service providers are concerned!

HTTP from Downstorm is being shaped...i knew this day would come

i downloaded codecs from FileHippo and speeds were normal..even hit 1000kb/s for a little while!

the minute i went back to Downstorm, i struggled to hit 45 kb/s..even tried different download managers just to be sure.

even early in the morning i maxed at 230 kb/s...normally i get full speed then.

i haven't had full speed in 2 days now.
 
Yip, MWEB's just another ISP that spends time and resources monitoring and throttling http protocols it deems threatening to its bottomline...

Ya you should cancel with them, horrible getting 100-300gb a month with all this throttling going on.

Cancel so we can use your bandwidth :D. Afrihost is a great option :p

On a bit of an awesome note i pulled 10.3gb last night, Mweb suck badly, imagine 10.3gb a day OMG what am i thinking sticking with a company that offers so little :p

I just ran a download through DownStorm and it came back full line speed. I had issues last night but everything is working fine now again. I wonder what could be up with your downloads :S

It's not right I tell you... I'm so upset I think I'll switch immediately to a better performing uncapped service, like SAOL ... yip that's where I will go :D
 
South African consumers really need to start using their feet to show displeasure... there are so many people who moan about Mweb and then stay with them. If you really don't like them, go elsewhere so killa and I can have your bandwidth.
 
I fully agree - will all those that complain please join Afrihost now? Go figure out what that old adage "You don't know what you got till its gone" really means. Afrihost will help you with that.

starting to wonder myself....

EDIT: can you run another download to see if u still get full speed, if u don't mind ?
