Yes there are some here that had unrealistic expectations but that does not mean all naysayers are automatically wrong. And conspiracy is a possibility, we've had cell carrier conspiracy, we've had bread conspiracy, we've had gun conspiracy, the list goes on. Only a purposefully ignorant fool can claim that things wont go bad just because he himself is perfectly happy with a sub-standard service. Yes this is africa and we are used to being screwed over but that is no excuse to beat someone over the head because he's angry about it.

So just stop being so damned pompous and superior about your good luck and looking down on everyone else?

Then why not just cancel your MWeb account and give all the satisified 'pompous' subscribers a little more bandwidth?

Because MWEB in all their great wisdom provided me with a locked router with my initial contract years ago and I do not have the money to buy another one.

And if you think things will ever improve population wise you are a fool, MWEB was overextended last year already.

Anyone else having issues on mweb today, seems like everything is in slow motion.
 
Is anyone else on MWeb Uncapped getting intermittent downtime (through from last night and continuing until this afternoon)?
Cape Town extended region..

I can browse normally, but do not try to download anything! My download speed is currently 1.6kbps on a 4 meg line. MWEB's ****
 
I signed up over the phone.
Got account details instantly.

Speeds after hours 384 runs most of the time full speed. Business hours line runs half speed.

Overall I am happy sofar.
 
i think i must be dreaming. seriously getting 426.3KB/s on steam right now :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

i just signed-up today .... browsing speeds seem fine but i'm only averaging around 55KB/s on news server download ... anyone else on SSL news servers doing better?
 
Funny you won't get more than that until about 11 ish then it should go full speed.

SSL makes 0 difference to speed.
