MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

No, no matter what MWeb package you are on, if your ADSL exchange if overloaded then your connection will be slow. That is a Telkom issue.
 
My MWEB account has gone very slow, I see my router now displays this info:

DownStream Connection Speed 1503 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 131 kbps

I have a 4mb line and package :(

Is this a Telkom or MWEB issue?

Constant Timeouts. Telkom already reset my line. Still the same . Dll speed was 425bytes for several hours yesterday. What to do?

Are you on Internet Addict or the normal home uncapped?
Only Internet Addict is marketed as being unshaped for P2P 24/7
Home Uncapped can shape and throttle anything at any time.

Normal home uncapped....sheeet! I thought after hours would be less shaped

Well then MWEB's shaping like a mad MOFO, I did get about 150+ last week on P2P:confused:
350 - 450 kB/s on HTTP downloads (Using IDM...)

So that rules out TelScum as my main problem...(They usually are)

It is less shaped after hours - but keep in mind that capped, business and internet addict user will get preference over you. So if they demand more traffic - no matter what time of day - then home uncapped will loose traffic first.

You can always pay more if you want more, so get an internet addict package.

So much for cheap affordable uncapped right? thats just like 2K a month for a decent connection.

If you just want after hours then go for the accounts like the Axxess uncapped express+, but those are throttled right down in the day and proper unshaped, uncapped at night.

I am going for that, and i have cancelled my mweb account.

@Roux - You obviously havnt read my posts correctly, last month the service was awesome, my speeds where amazing, i pulled 350GB. This month its been ***** to put it nice. Shape me to hell during the day i dont care, but dont give me the bull***** that at 4am in the morning companies are busy, and we get no where near our line speed. Im not in the mood to employ smart download tactics just to get some kick drums samples. I want an account i connect, it downloads job done. So i will pay the extra 499 a month for a service that will hopefully out perform these accounts.
