30K for me, its DEAD tonight! ? ! Why after such a good run???
 
slow speeds throughout the night, very disappointed, night time its supposed to get fast
 
i think the Mweb usage counter is incorrect on the site? it says ive done 25 Gbs so far on my 384 account.Ive only had it active since the 4th of June.Yes i have been going wild but i dont see how it can count up to 25gbs.

OH WELL ...who cares - its uncapped :D thanks again Mweb.
 
normal home uncapped and shaped, but i am on 4 meg so should be getting better than 400 megs over night

Your line speed does not make a difference, you can be on a dedicated 100mbps connection and it will not change the speed.
The reason for your slow speed is that you are on Home Uncapped and these packages will get shaped if higher priority users with Business and Internet Addict packages start to use more bandwidth.

Yo solve your problem you will need to either get a Business or Internet Addict Package.

you could be on 25GB already
I did not download for a couple of days and I already did 32GB this month
yesterday it was 30GB

...serious issues with MWEB connectivity. It is yet to be resolved. (It is dial up, we can take our time - our subscribers would hardly notice)

that is bull, so i am paying 539 a month so on a 4 meg line i should expect 400 megs from 7pm to 7am, i am not paying the crazy price they are charging for internet addict, if i was on that package i'd be expecting 10gigs a day if not more

You did get the bit that the Home Uncapped accounts are shaped? Did you??
And you do realise there is a reason why the Internet Addict exists and is priced 4 times more than Home Uncapped?

The MWEB terms of services for that shaped packages specifically states that you are shaped.
You get what you pay for
You want to download 1.4GB in an hour 24/7 7 days a week and you moan about the fact that you can’t
That’s 33GB per day by the way and yes you can expect that if it is unshaped and uncapped
And on the 4Mb’s shaped account I’m 100% sure I can get more that 10GB per day

But lets use Telkom’s wonderful pricing to compare the full 4Mb/s package
Telkom charges R90+ per hour at that rate
So only R2160 per day
So on 28 day month only R60480

Compared to MWEB uncapped unshaped R1999

where are you getting your figures i never said 1.4gig per hour, where are you getting this from??

i said i only got 400 megs downloaded from 7pm last night to 7am this morning. have you even read my message right. on the package i am on 400megs is pityful, you can get more than that on the slowest package.

so your whole maths baffles me cos i dont know where you are coming from

on an uncapped for 539 400megs in 12 hours during offpeak is awful
 
What were you downloading? Rapidshare and Hotfile are heavily shapped but I did some torrent in the same time and managed a couple of GBs in the same time.

take a 4Mb/s account then check what you can get
1.4Gb hour for ushapped uncapped
you made the statement "if i was on that package i'd be expecting 10gigs a day if not more"

if you are on 4Mb/s line and you can't get 400 MB in 12 hours then there is another issue on your line or you are picking downloads that is limited

I get better than that on my 384 shaped uncapped package (I do between 2 and 2.5 GB per day)
and there is no way your more heavily shaped on your line than I am on mine

you should easily get 5Gb from 7pm to 7 am
so in that sense I was agreeing with you but you did not say that you only got 400 meg between 7 and 7 you said "so on a 4 meg line i should expect 400 megs from 7pm to 7am"
which I took to mean that you only expect 400megs between 7 and 7

oh and one thing I was replying to you last statement so sorry if you said that you only get 400's earlier in the thread

read back over my meassges, you took that line out of context, i stated from the start i only got 4 megs which was crap and you went on saying i should upgrade if i want to get more
