MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

The complaints wrt MWEB these last 2 days, made my day LOL! (ps I'm on AXXESS and riding out the storm ;-), don't feel alone)

Take the 3 everyday things most of us are used to:

ESKOM - must we blame ESKOM for the hours without electricity or oursleves for buying so much electronic gadgets that there is a shortage or the mines using so much (the money or the box?) - where's the generator? ;-)

MNET - Lightning hits your decoder, no redundancy Who's at fault - The BIG Guy, MNET or us not holding on to a second decoder ;-)

BP - Oil spill? BP, ourselves or HENRY FORD ;-)

Life is a journey, enjoy the ride! (We can only blame ourselves):D

eskom, where they not selling alot of the supply to neighbouring countries for higher rates, and then had to tell us to cut down because we started using supply they couldn't well supply ? Since when did it become a crime to use electricity that you pay for?
Actually if lightening hits your decoder its your own fault for using the decoder without the proper protective equipment in place for situations like that. (see where i am going with this?)
BP, that was most likely due to negligence on the rigs behalf, and not keeping up proper service intervals etc..

Yeh - I forgot - feedback against a company in a feedback thread is trolling

Feedback threads, and threads in general are only for those wanting to praise companies.

Seacom failure. Not Mweb.

If your local ADSL exchange was down, or your phone line was broken - would you bitch and moan at MWEB or Telkom?

ROFL. Best example I've seen. Blame MWeb when the copper cables are stolen or when the local Telkom exchange burns down. Nice one :)

It's actually SEACOM which lacks redundancy.

well SAIX stopped providing spare bandwith

HMMM sounds to me like they want to cash in on the SEACOM failure
typical Telkom for you

How much would you bet Telkoms bill has new info on how evil uncapped is
Hope MWEB gets alternate up and running with another provider soon

MWEb were unwilling to buy more more like.

Personally, I am happy with the service provided.

It will be better after EASSY lands.
SEACOM made a difference, EASSY will make a lesser one, but, still will be much appreciated

Enlight of all that's happening I'd like to say a big thanks to Mweb for the overall service they are providing me. I'm happy with my money spent here.

As with bradrap I would like to thank mweb for getting things going (and arranging with other providers) during seacoms downtime

MWEb were unwilling to buy more more like.

Hmmm if they were unwilling to buy more then SAIX could take them out for making a false statement in the news

Telkom would love being able to do that it would give them the perfect headline for their newest propaganda scheme

Tanya why do you still use MWEB?
It is obvious you are incredibly unhappy about the service and you believe MWEB is ripping you off
Why don’t you go to Telkom where they have proper backups in place for the sat3 cable
And only charge you R69 per GB (bargain)

Then you won’t have to put up with failcom’s downtimes and we won’t have to listen to you bitch about MWEB the whole time

Or go make a nice long post where you state all your reasons for hating MWEB and leave it in that so that those who is interested to read it can do so
And those that is tired of your constant complaining don’t have to

As for your statement that MWEB should have a SLA with seacom and the people on the forum should realize that.
They probably do have one and Seacom is probably in breach of that SLA
But there is nothing much that can be done till the line is fixed (Seacom will probably lose a large part of their monthly income from MWEB)
But MWEB is probably paying more than that to get some connection in place for the time being

Now as for your agreement with MWEB (the one we all agreed to when we took these packages)
It says this
“8.1 We may use or rely on upstream providers to provide the ADSL Service or certain portions thereof. We accordingly provide the ADSL Service subject to the limitations and terms imposed on us by such upstream providers, which includes the actual availability of the upstream provider’s network.
8.2 We will always try to provide the ADSL Service to the best of our ability. However, we provide the ADSL Service “as is” and “as available” and do not warrant or guarantee that the ADSL Service is free of errors or interruptions, is always available, is fit for any purpose, does not infringe any third party rights, is secure and reliable, or will conform to your delivery timeline requirements.”
You can get it from their website http://www.mweb.co.za/legalpolicies/ProductsServices/ADSLTerms2010/tabid/1918/Default.aspx
So they aren’t in breach

Contact trashing of a company and everything they do is not feedback. Realistic, valid criticism is feedback.

ROFL - so its unrealistic that I paid for internet access I don't have... and it happens quite often.

I bet you guys would also continue to pay your DSTV fee's if the satellite got hit by a meteor... after all, it its not their fault.

I'll let you figure that one out all by yourself, I'll give you a hint, I'm paying Telkom for my 4MB line.

An ignore list is a beautiful thing. Saves blood pressure and prevents heart attacks, fencing with trolls is a waste of time, effort and our precious bandwidth :D
