Sure enough, as 6oclock comes along, my internet goes to hell.

700-900 ping again.

Right, it's fixed.

I had to put my router's address into the dns field, and apparently that shows that my pc is messed up.

Anyone know what this means? And how i can fix it again? Because i never had a DNS there before? What could have changed?

Im also getting terrible speeds on my 4MB uncapped. Even at like 1am im only getting like 50k/sec

Does anyone know what the problem is?

Im on 384k uncapped, I leave my PC running p2p all day while Im at work. Up until yesterday I could get 1.5gigs done from 7-7 during the day (1.8gigs on the 21st) despite the shaping. Yesterday was 350Mb. Last night was worthless and only saw a slight improvement this morning before I left for work. These speeds have only been since the night of the 21st when there was that outage.

Are they still having problems or something? Cause seeing above, Im seeing quite a few slowness complaints. The only status message on their board is the following but Im in PE, not CT and it hasnt come into affect yet anyway.

Can MWEB please give us some feedback for the areas other than Cape Town.
I'm in Durban and it seems PE is also having problems, some insight into the problem would really be appreciated by MWEB.

Durban to, also had terrible speeds since that outage. As you can see from my posts, i was being ignored. Still have no reply. So yesterday i called the helpdesk and things havbe been fine since then.
However the issue is not fully resolved as i had never had to put in a special address into some field on my wireless connection settings. Everything was automatic.

Good luck though. MWEB Operations is not replying at all.

It properly linked to the fact.. that the american TV seasons started on Monday.. so the demand for bandwidth has shot up.. with everyone downloading there favourite shows... so heavier shaping is in enforce.

Last night before going to bed I was getting 32k on my 4 Meg line
