Same here in Stellenbosch: both on Mweb business and Mweb uncapped.

It's a real shame that the @mweb.co.za realm doesn't place us on SAIX accounts any more for situations like these. Luckily this was only for a few minutes.

This is how far my traceroute to www.take2.co.za came:
Code:
Tracing route to www.take2.co.za [196.33.12.47]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

  1 2 ms 1 ms 2 ms rb750.tuis [192.168.90.1]
  2 3 ms 2 ms 2 ms d-link-adsl-router.tuis [192.168.89.1]
  3 24 ms 27 ms 25 ms 41-132-44-1.dsl.mweb.co.za [41.132.44.1]
  4 28 ms 32 ms 27 ms 196-28-178-166.adsl.mweb.co.za [196.28.178.166]
  5 * * *

The 4th hop should've been:
Code:
  4 52 ms 48 ms 47 ms tengig-0-0-0-104.vic-ipc-1.mweb.co.za [196.22.169.146]

Where in Stellenbosch are you? I am in Welgevonden and since 4pm I got no connectivity on my 4mbps line.

My Mweb is completely dead.

Axxess etc wroks 100%, but no internet on mweb, last 7 hours!

edit: Right, seems back up but now rnning at a bout 50% linespeed.
Hope they fix this soon, else I can go 384 for same speeds and a lot less $$$

P2P still being severely shaped, http running at 420kbs but torrents maxing at 100kbs mostly, on a weekend, this is not on

Heh heh, current torrent speed (50 seeds) is 25kb/s on 384 here in Durbz. Turned it on about 20 minutes ago. Haven't seen this speed at this time of the day in a while;)

well speeds on astras web is +-100KB/s atm (4meg uncapped). really not looking good for a Saturday morning!!

Durban 512 line running at +/- 25KB/s for a Saturday morning. on torrent.

I use to max it at 50KB/s... two weeks ago. Not looking good.

Connection dying regularly here in CT. Torrents, newsgroups going absolutely nowhere most of the time. No chance of any kind of refund. This is 'broadband' in SA in 2010.

Wanted to download a 3GB file overnight on 4m account...it has only done half and going at about 20k now.

Again the max speed I got overnight was 100Kbps, back to 40Kbps again.

Some feedback from Mweb would be real nice at this point. The number of unhappy customers seems to be climbing at an alarming rate.

All good this side :-) flying like it should on 4mb

You downloading via NNTP/HTTP/p2p?

NNTP, was fine when I left for work at 7am. Probably dead like all the others now

Getting 45KB/s on newservers.I have been getting these crappy speeds for 2 weeks now - I am sure it will be all resolved soon although the 50GB-100GB cap options are starting to look very attractive.
Will give it another week before making a decision.
