MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

My connection is behaving really bad this morning. Slow speeds, really weird disconnection behaviour in World of Warcraft etc. Let's hope it gets better now that the upgrade has been done?

Same here. Was much better this morning and now it's horrendous. The funny thing is that it's only browsing that's slow. P2P is running at 130k/s now. It's not what I should be getting on a 4 Meg line, but at least it's working. Browsing is TERRIBLY slow...

after my .7kb/s:
p2p running at 412kb/s
browsing not too slow
live streaming (sport) working like a charm.
seems like i am taking all the bandwidth :)

Hit 5.6k on Rapidshare just now - pretty spiffy.

See, I'm reluctant to move off Mweb as they're the only ones who actually control their own network. I've never been capped with them and yes, there have been bad times (like now and yesterday). So how long do I give the current bad time? Do I just sit here and keep paying for nothing? And for how long? Maybe I should just run an Openweb uncapped concurrent for a month and compare them. Hmm.

edit: 15.7k off Rapidshare (premium) - we0.

Must be, aubreyk, 'cos my browsing is kaput :). P2P running at 160k/s (half of what I should be getting), but browsing, she is very very slow.

I can confirm that one part of MWeb's Cape Town IPC has finally borne fruit. The link to TENET via CINX is now active, so a tracert to UCT is now 7 hops instead of 13 hops!

Code:
Tracing route to bug.egs.uct.ac.za [137.158.102.61]
over a maximum of 7 hops:

   1 <10 ms <10 ms 1 ms home.gateway [192.168.1.254]
   2 7 ms 6 ms 7 ms 41-132-48-1.dsl.mweb.co.za [41.132.48.1]
   3 152 ms 152 ms 156 ms 196-28-178-202.adsl.mweb.co.za [196.28.178.202]
   4 168 ms 161 ms 148 ms 196-28-178-133.adsl.mweb.co.za [196.28.178.133]
   5 150 ms 153 ms 154 ms tenet.cinx.net.za [198.32.214.33]
   6 203 ms 206 ms 214 ms uct-cpt1-t201-vl2744.net.tenet.ac.za [155.232.7.2]
   7 218 ms 225 ms 232 ms inside-e2.uct.ac.za [137.158.253.10]

Unfortunately latency in the Southern Suburbs is awful right now, so this doesn't help much (yet).

yeh, I'm down to about 60% of where I was at 12PM. Just an observation, will be interesting to see if it picks up again tonight.

Getting bad speeds downloading ubuntu 10.10 via http.. although not sure if its mweb or the server since im sure it's pretty flooded

There's definitely something not quite right. I'm getting terrible latency in WoW and my connection is completely fried.

*sigh* I think I need to go for an afternoon nap :)

I cant even log in :( the rest of the speeds are ok

Mine is chugging along at a constant 210kB/s :) Not the best but more than happy :)

must say to the mweb guys, good show, been having a steady 350+ all day, actually pushing 400 now....:)

Getting 40kbits on (4 mbits line) on news servers atm. This is really starting to annoy me! This is not faster than before the upgrades, WTF????
