Weekend download speeds were great, thank you, but today the strangle is back again. My p2p is 0.4kbps, and if that isnt strangled then I dont know what is. was the upgrade purely for the benefit of the business sector? I wouldn't complain if it was shaped to about 10kbps ( am on a 512 line) but 0.4 is a bit extreme. Please MWeb, be up front with us and tell us straight out whether this how things are going to stay. Dont fudge the responses-- just be direct so that we know what to expect-- you will get far less moaning!!

MY P2P DL is down to 2kb/s but to be fair this probably to be expected as the working world turns on. Looking forward to seeing what tonight yields. As some one who is trying to be a good Mweb citizen (not work around shaping) I'd like to see less shaping off-peak given the recent upgrade. Preferably with speeds picking up from 8pm to 7am like it was when I joined in April or is this asking too much?:erm:

Hi Guys

We are busy testing P2P to see if we can replicate and will keep you posted.

Kind regards

HTTP seems to be taking some shots now, had a couple of downloads I had to restart about 5 times now. No resume on them unfortunately so I am close to wasting about 2GB already.

Are you checking local connectivity? 250ms pings to SAIX and timeouts on local websites isn't fun.

Thought i'd add to the people complaining about poor torrent speeds. Was going great until about 6AM, now its back to a dragging 24Kb/s. On the other hand Ubuntu just downloaded via HTTP and it was super to have it in under 30 minutes!

Most I've DL'd on MWEB in one day since I got 4mb Uncapped:

showfull.php

Thanks MWEB!

Mine seemed to improve in the early hours of this morning... I'll check this evening when I get home.

Is anybody else experiencing high latency to SAIX?

Something happened, my NNTP speed is back to normal, same as it was before things started going belly up a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks MWEB, whatever you did, please keep doing it :)

MWEB - are you guys doing some crazy shaping or something? Even downloading off the SAIX Ubuntu repository is dog slow.. 60k/sec from a local site.

Holy crap dude... any reason why you are backing the internet up?

If you ask nicely he might just give you a copy on a floppy.

Anyway, It seems that my connection is behaving a lot better today. Im getting up to about 15 kb/s during the day. (Yes I know im being bad by letting my torrent run throughout the day but im doing it so that I can track my dl speeds, thus all in the name of science :D )
