MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

Yet another pitiful day on MWEB...newsservers unconnectable/slow all day, nothing for torrents...nothing much of anything, in fact...
 
Seems to be based on luck, torrents on wensday from 8 am -12 am 28KB/s-35. same torrent right now 1-5KB/s
 
No problem I think, just over aggressive shaping, My Telkom account connects to the Mweb news server and downloads at 350KB +. My Mweb 4m uncapped only manages 4KB/s with same file and same server. So not a server problem.

Can you send me you MWEB details so that I can investigate this for you.
 
Seems like during most of the day I getting throttled with mweb to under 100KB/s.

My speed has been lousy again since last night around 10pm. Has been like this on and off for about a month now. On a 4mb uncapped shaped account. Here is a speedtest to London:

Starting to become a real inconvenience as I use this connection to do my work as well. Can't even stream youtube at 240p. Getting dia-up speeds sometimes. :(:(:(:mad:

If the problem is the same for all these users then what would giving individual details achieve? Is it a placebo?

I love Mweb and everything they do, so don't take this the wrong way. I have recommended you as my preferred ISP to many friends lately and I don't know what to tell them. I say my internet was great three weeks ago, now its half of what you would expect, especially from 6am to 12pm. I have been on various forums and facebook and I see that many CPT users are saying the same thing. There is definitely a problem from your side as the general consensus is when they plug another ISP into the router, their speeds always increase. Went to another friend of mine mom place to help her with her computer to install something. After a bit of research, i realised she needed a Windows Update. It took 1/3 as fast as it should have. I know that Microsoft downloads are not shaped. And this was after work hours.

Ever since Mweb changed some server something in London, Cape Town internet in the day is running at half what we used to get. This is what Ive seen with about 8 users I know and referred to Mweb. They don't reply to anyones polite requests in this matter and say that the new "computer thing" in london is the bees knees. I look like a idiot to my friends and everyone else ive referred to them. I think the ANC must own MWEB because they are losing the Cape. Especially with regard to bandwidth. ... sigh
 
can't watch any vids,even on the low quality blurry videos.

mweb is not as good as they are in the old days.it's only good for uncapped internet but download speeds are slow most of the time and gaming sucks (everyone on igame tells me to switch to another ISP for gaming)
 
Performance today is HORRENDOUS.

Downloads slow, browsing slow, pages time out and gaming? Rift rocking at 20000ms.

Something is screwy.
 
Performance has been horrendous for the past two weeks. Uncapped 4mb, cant stream anything downloads stutter at 30kb/s day and night.
 
yeah, last few months ive barely used my mweb account (17gb usage) , its more frustrating than anything else, on and off though. and no info on Mweb Network Status page, and several CAS tickets have been opened and no responses yet (Jhb Area)

Afrihost and web africa accounts are running smoothly

thanks for keeping up the PR and stuff MwebGuy, but maybe you arent 100% in the loop with your team? :(
we are all willing to assist to help test and troubleshoot etc to get this issue resolved and the mweb experience back to what it used to be in 2010 :D
