Yea the odd thing is it's only been the last week or two, so i have just been silent hoping it was just a network fault but we will see later today what happens.

Lol, suddenly my news server is flying, compared to a little earlier. 81kb/s on a 1mb line.

Edit: spoke too soon, back down to 30kb. Still better than the 15kb/s I got during the week.

After suffering about 2 weeks of slow speed on video streaming, did some speed test and for some reason all the speed test result are at about 2Mbit to most servers located in Far East, South East Asian and Australia in comparison to average of 4Mbit in the US or European servers, is there a speed cap on the 4Mbit shaped account going to the Far East?

A quick question: A good program to monitor your network traffic? Amount per hour etc.

I used a great program someone recommended on here and for the life of me can't remember its name!

Thank you very much! I changed download machines. Retired my old Pentium III finally. Problem was I could not remember for the life of me the network monitor app name that I used and it was to much trouble to hook up the Pentium again...

If anyone is looking for a relative cheap but great platform for a download machine, would highly recommend one of the new AMD APU platforms.

Other than that, Still enjoying Mweb uncapped.

Sure, i picked up locally this one:

http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?leg=&psn=000102&pid=1034

An used this case: http://www.chyangfun.com/pro04_1_2.asp

Stuck some 4Gb of Ram in it and used my older 360Gb hard disk and loaded Windows 7.

After I was done and the machine was running I realised it would be great for a multimedia PC as well so I ordered this :

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/lenovo...ess-keyboard-with-trackball-mouse-2-aaa-35909

To take care of the navigation on the TV. The setup works very well, it is quiet and rather compact as well.

What do you mean?

What line are you using? How frequent does your downloads run? ie 24/7 etc. And is it torrent and nttp?

Just a quick question: when downloading something from a normal HTTP site (not p2p or file sharing), should my download speed be spiking? Or should it be a constant speed?

Hi PseudZ,

If it's a true http download, then it should remain constant but you could experience the occasional spike.

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy

The line runs 24/7. Mixture of everything hey.

384k a/c on a 1mb line. It never goes over 50kb so it is capped @ 384k.

I am currently getting less than 3kB/s from an international NNTP server. Earlier today I was getting over 200kB/s.

Edit: At times it completely dies
