Hi mccrack,

"Golden Period" ?

If you referring to the off peak times, then what I can say is shaping is dynamic and yes there will always be fluctuating speeds.

Looking at my logs for the past week. during 8 till 5 = 0 speed for news servers

From 5 till 2am = 30kbps

From 2am till 8am = fluctuate but on average 370 to 420kbps

Dynamic shaping my ass!

Can access that site fine with Afrihost account. Cannot on Mweb. So +1.

Mweb seems dead at the moment in Sunninghill JHB - using backup account for time being. Lol. Free the web.
 
Live streams run awesome late in the evenings. When loaded up during the day its just a stutter fest.

I am going to try Openweb and if it runs better than this you can be assured you will receive at least 20 cancellations. We have been waiting far too long and still have not been given the courtesy of a honest answer regarding streams. This is not a isolated account or event so requesting my account details will not suffice in this situation.
 
Anyone else here using Easynews?

Since yesterday I get an average of between 10-60 kb/s on downloading with Mweb.
Works fine with my other ISP....
 
9:46am and live streams are working ..... getting a much better speed overall...... could this be fixed ?!? I will update at lunch

Hi Slip,

I tried the www.aerovps.com site on a 384kbps account at 08:00am and it loaded fine. Tried now again and it still loads fine. Will continue during the course of the day and update you.

What type of account do you have?

Ignore this , Justin.tv and Ustream both streaming a BIT better but still ends in a stutter fest.

Is zero speed on Astraweb for 66.6% of the day acceptable?

Hi I just joined Mweb and is hoping to experience the awesome service my friends recommended to me. Trust me, they cant be worse then Iburst.

+1. I'd be happy if I got 10Kbps during the day - for the past few days I've been getting 0Kbps (that's zip, nothing, zilch, nada) until 2am when the shaping is relaxed.

Is offpeak now 2am until 8am? :sick:
 
i have to say i seem to be getting usual daytime speeds again, somethin must have gotten fixed

That is strange. It either times out for me or takes 10 minutes to load - it's completely unusable either way. I'm on 4Mb uncapped and the site loaded fine last night after 12.

MWEB Guy must be sitting at the source of the fountain, no telscum lines in between to bugger things up
