Wow Will/Mwebguy
if i need to download a 12gb file i should stop/start/stop/start/stop/start it every 30 minutes or whatsup with this?
i can understand if im download at HIGH speed for 5 days onward it would be an issue?
can we please get some CLARITY on the abuse?
what happens if i go on leave and decide to buy 5 games on steam and need to download everything, at average 8gb a game?
cause currently your rules say, "hi, please dont drive fast on the highway" but the highway doesnt have any speed limit signs up ?
If you download a 1MB pdf, make sure you don't use multiple threads. And set your schedule to stop/start/stop/start every 5 minutes. The network may just crash!
if im not allowed to open 100+ (thumbsuck figure, not actuall tcp sessions etc) connections my contract should state that specifically
and not just say "high"
because my high is 10 downloads with 10 threads each,
but ms daisy from the flower shop will think high means facebook+gmail+skype

I've given you my details. So maybe you or Will can give us an overview of:
- What does Mweb see as Abuse
- Describe the term "UNCAPPED"
- If you are on a 4mbps line, must you treat it as a 384k line?
Please... let us hear...
This is the selling point:

MWEB ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
"Connectivity Services
We reserve the right to manage our network in order to optimize its efficiency for the benefit of all our subscribers, including, without limitation, by way of the following: rate limiting (speed), rejection or removal of spam or otherwise unsolicited bulk e-mail, anti-virus mechanisms, protocol filtering and imposing restrictions on your use. We may take any other action we deem appropriate in order to help ensure the integrity of the network experience for all subscribers, including limiting your data traffic by controlling your network and/or bandwidth usage".
- Please inform us what the restrictions will be on uncapped, since I cannot find a document anywhere that states that we are restricted, i.e. 1gb a day, 100gb a month or whatever the restriction may be,
- What is acceptable usage of the service?
- How do you impose the terms and conditions of acceptable usage, will it be accross the board the same to all users on the uncapped package?
- We need a CLEAR indication what is regarded as acceptable usage of your uncapped data, since I don't want to be stressed out every time I need to download a significant data size file from the internet.
- What is regarded as repeated instances of prolonged download sessions, daily, every second day, once a week?
How would you bypass their shaping? I am an attorney not an IT expert, will it be done intentionally or can it be done by mistake?
