il only test your file at about after 5.30.

though not sure what client you use, but my experience with grabit and altbinz horrible with mweb, i only get decent speeds with sabnz

Will its not about the same speed at the same time, its about the fact that i will continue to get this speed for the better part of 10 hours while others get good speed for that time. Its not about line quality, seeing as your unshaped mweb account goes full speed. Its purely shaping, dont you dare bring line quality into this. Your welcome to phone me any time before 5. Maybe blow off some more steam.

Perhaps then as a further test you would like me to delete your user account and provision a completely fresh one for you?
 
Also getting 2KB/s and I was complaining when it was at 30 KB/s, full speed on other protocols, don't think Mweb is shaping, get the feeling its not intentional, they just don't know whats gong on. 384k line Durban.

The policy speaks both to the bypassing of shaping and a pattern of behavior in terms of repeated instances of uninterrupted downloading at high speeds over an extended period of time. In terms of the questions that have been raised regarding for example someone who purchased a number of games from Steam, this would not be seen as a pattern of behavior.

The number of users who manage to get themselves flagged in this way is a tiny fraction of our customer base who are trying exceedingly hard to download the Internet. As such we really do not see that there is any need to post an arbitrary set of rules for the rest of you to follow, as posting these rules will simply enable those people who are intent on breaking them to find the loopholes.

This is not a new process, it has been ongoing for quite some time and warnings are issued and followed through on a regular basis. If you do receive any such correspondence please engage with the abuse team and they will assist you in understanding where you have gone wrong. Although quite honestly I believe that anyone who does fall into this category has a very clear understanding that they have tried,singlyhandedly, to empty the buffet table.

I was using Afrihost prepaid account... what a joke aswel.

Got a 4mb line and speedtest results were no higher than 0.5mbps DL

Is there anything worthwhile out there for this price?

Heading back into this grey area again. So it's capped uncapped without it being said so. I really wish there was clarity on what is "acceptable usage" then, will 2,5,10,20,50 GB's a day be acceptable...
I actually dont even want to open this grey can again
 
Any ETA on when this mess will be sorted out? I cant log onto WoW, torrents i cant get over 5kb/s and browsing is so slow i might as well use my Blackberry for browsing.

Hi mccrack, I understand, but please focus on the phrase "tiny fraction" and then your head can stop spinning :) If you believe that you are pushing your connection so hard that you have recently had to consider investing in a cost effective SAN, then you are on the wrong product. Our unshaped products are called "Internet Addict" for a reason.

So there are no restrictions on the unshaped product? I can download the Internet at line speed through an encrypted VPN 24/7?

Hey Will,

I'm experiencing similar...if not the exact same problem(unable to load areas) in Age of Conan...And if the planets are aligned and i do load...the latency ingame makes the game unplayable...just thought you should be aware that its not only a wow problem.

*edit* Wow, I just noticed i really like my ellipsis.

over the last hour ive downloaded 1.9mb + uploaded 8.9mb of a well seeded torrent :( , an still wow problems like ive said on gaming feedback. but seems gamers are always over looked when it comes to problems.
