meh, so streaming was going well the whole weekend - i was able to watch everything i wanted on gomtv.net, blip.tv and justin.tv.

Seems, however, that the gods must be laughing their assess off at me, as its back to being absolutely unusable with constant buffering required.

Why, oh why? :(

Well, I suppose that could be a possibility... thats why I'm asking the question. Usually SSL on other ports is shaped though.

I did too and they were shaped. Now blocknews I noticed allowed SSL on another port; would I be bypassing the shaping on that port? MWEB?

.....never had such bad DL speeds before!

18kb/s now to news.mweb.co.za Guess its better than 0.0kb/s but still, shaping seems a bit excessive after office hours dont you think guys? 600mb file, 9 hours remaining.

Do any of you have any other Isp account that you can test steam on, I am currently trying to find out more from steam.

I was playing around with providers today. Easynews was insanely slow! Astraweb and Blocknews right now are flying!

I donno; the shaping has eased completely for me. Perhaps the MWEB news server isn't coping? Also, is your content cached?

Tried with Telkom and I seem to get into Steam and Black Ops fine.... Hope that helps?

Yeh hambone the content is definitely cached. This is what im talking about, its Monday, many many complaints will rain in again because of excessive shaping.
Hopefully will deletes my account and creates a fresh one, I think my account is just boned, but seeing as people even complain about easynews being 1-5kb/s i do believe that its not the Mweb news server not coping.
 
still struggling here, streaming to justin.tv and gomtv.net is broken.

And i just want to cry

www.speedtest.net doesnt even load, comes with that red box saying try again.
mybb speed test, fails aswel

i cant even upload a pic to tinypic.com to post what i said above..

not good !!!!!!
