MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

It would appear that I have incurred the wrath of the shaper. Downloaded Team Fortress from Steam yesterday at +- 400kb/s. I downloaded 8 gb from steam yesterday. This morning I started downloading another game from steam only to be greeted with 30kb/s average. I guess I am being punished for "over using" the interwebz yesterday.

MWEB does not shape per-user.
 
Does MWEB still offer some free web space if you have uncapped with them or do they just reserve a domain name for you? I have a 4 page HTML which I want to post.
 
yes they do , its free for the 1st year then R19/month thereafter.

Funny, because I've had seven other friends on M-Web uncapped packages (ranging from 384 to 10m) and they all complain of the exact same problem. They are spread throughout JHB.

Please look into this - send me a PM and I will give you my login details so you can try with my account.

Connection has come to a complete halt...
Basically MyBB is the only thing i can browse..

everything else, just doesnt load

Well i powered down for 30min and started it up. but no difference.
i need to log into www.dyndns.com but only loads half the page.

from say 2pm today.. im getting no less than 384kps speeds.
 
I upgraded my account form 384kbs uncapped to 4mb and am generally happy with performance. I can play BF2 at least on overseas servers and speeds are generally much better. I've seen pretty close on 4mb on some downloads. Seems quite a lot quicker than my previous Telkom 4mb line.
